Seriously is would be tons better with one. The open diff is just depressing. too many bad drifts and one wheel donuts. Sure it spins both from a stand still but some diff options would be stellar.
That isn't true at all. Even in you're trying to say that they would be unlikely specifically in an 80's mid engined super car you'd still be wrong; both the Testerossa and the Pantera had 'em (and those are the only two I bothered to look up). Unless I'm missing a joke here that is, you're usually on point with automotive stuff...
I think one of the first ones that came around was the "Twin Traction" by Packard in 1956, but I think its down to the costs that they were not utilized till the 1990s I have checked this!
That's what I would want at the very least. It looks like a 288 GTO and that was produced at the same time at the Testarossa.
Call me ignorant, but that is one of the worst LSD's I've ever seen. What about a welded diff? Can I change the jbeam file to lock it? I just want donuts.
It is an LSD, but very weak, since the car is already hard enough to tame. You can find the differential in super_engine.jbeam, and up the closedtorque if you so desire.
