Hey, just wondering if my new laptop has any chance of running BeamNG Drive, and if the more complicated maps can run. My specs: HP-BS198TX 15.6" Laptop 8th Gen Intel Core i7 8550U Quad Core @1.8 GHz (1.8 - 4.0 GHz, 8MB L3 Cache) 8GB RAM AMD Radeon 530 Graphics 4GB Graphics Windows 10 Home EDIT: I already have BeamNG.drive anyway, so I downloaded it and gave it a shot. Turns out that on simple, flat maps without foliage, I can get a stable smooth fps on normal quality settings. On jungle-ish maps and other high-performance maps like the default West Coast, USA, it's hopeless. Still a much bigger improvement than my old laptop. TL;DR: Yeah, whatever, it kinda works. My laptop isn't a gaming one anyway.
That should run BeamNG fairly well in my opinion. Mind you ANY desktop/laptop playing BeamNG will lag eventually, depending on visual settings and content being played. Laptops by their nature have a tougher time dealing with this game but you should be happy in general. I still play with a 4 year old laptop and am quite happy how it handles BeamNG.
I am downloading the game now! In half an hour or so, I should be able to tell you how well she runs.
