Hi. Im running the beta of Windows 10, and I keep getting th e evil blue screen of death. (which is not so evil after Windows 8) That really dissapoints me, even though I have two computers. There's that one, and one with Windows 7. That one has 512 MB of graphics.. So, I'm just hoping that Windows 10 support comes soon. Thank You, wolfyrules123
What? Windows 10? Already? Are you shitting me? What is it like? Because it is probably not finished if it's a beta (obviously). They probably haven't finished the compatibility issues yet, so you probably have to wait 'till the real thing. (Or however you get your copy of Windows).
I have tried it and had many problems with various games and programs that run fine on windows 8. Though it is a beta
What bluescreen said, running a very early beta os as a main os is a horrible idea Sent from the 3rd galaxy via the talks of tapping
I have been running Windows 10 from day one and I haven't had a single problem with it. It works flawlessly with everything I have done with it so far... there has been the occasional hiccup here and there but I could fix them myself quite easily.
Can Microsoft not count correctly why did they decide to skip 9 Sent from my Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk
Because the preview beta for that was so bad people were ready to throw multi-thousand dollar laptops out there windows. (it was so bad they skipped it and went for a mildly different approach)
They skipped 9 probably because of something like this: Code: if(version.StartsWith("Windows 9")) { /* 95 and 98 */ ... } else { ... } And that doesn't seem that unrealistic in my opinion... Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/technology...ows_version_will_be_called_windows_10/ckwq83x
Even 9 is the wrong name, 8 was too, so was 7 If you go by each entry in the wikipedia client windows version list (which is slightly inconsistent) it is windows 25. By my reckoning, its 14.
That would be the kernel version only. The kernel is not the entire OS, it is possible to have totally incompatible OSes with the same kernel.
In which 10 is 12th version on that list. There is also ME missing from that list and there was a 2nd NT release I think which pushes us to 14
Forgetting 3.1 and 3.11? Hey, atleast MS stays consistent with their numbering scheme: Just picking a number and call it a day.
both minor releases like 8.1 or vista service pack 1 or XP service pack 3. If we counted all of those we'd be here all day.
I run 10 on my computer and I've noticed some poor startup performance and have a a BSOD a couple of times after quitting a app (normally after a game).
