Windows Beta Discussion

I feel this is kinda obscure but why not,
Windows beta builds are my current hyperfixation and id love to talk about them, so here!

for me, windows 10 was goat but windows 11 ruined it

 

3.1 has some beta builds iirc

8.1 also kinda has some beta builds

 

Why is Neptune associated with XP? that would be Whistler, also, Memphis for 98, NT 5.0 for 2000, Longhorn for Vista, Blue for 8.1. on topic though, 2000 was better when it was named NT 5.0, and Windows 8 build 8181 is better than the rtm.

I might be wrong but to add more:
Windows 7 is Jupiter and 8.1 is Threshold

Where did you get that 7 was "Jupiter"? lol, also Threshold is Windows 10 (original release)

Jupiter is actually windows 8 iirc

 

Jupiter was never a codename for Windows itself. from wikipedia --> "Jupiter is the application framework used to create "immersive" apps for Windows 8."

 

Some people call the beta Windows 8 versions as Jupiter for some reason so hmmm but yh you're right
