How about Extreme Diesel for the new truck body.
How about the LED strip version of the RII light? Is that a possibility or am I just hallucinating?
I'd like to see some sparking rotors if that's possible. Beam doesn't support glowing brake disc yet, so seeing them spark is the next best thing. lol
As mentioned, this feature is planned.
Not only doesn't the game support glowing brake discs yet, but, even if it did, current implementation of brake thermals doesn't support inboard brakes.
Would doing it similar to the Pigeon thermal work-ish? Like just using the thermal for the front brake twice?
No, because thermals were designed under the assumption of brakes at the wheel hub.
Particle generation (like, smoke particles) is hardcoded at the center of the wheel no matter what.
I was watching some MJ clips and saw Monster Energy's backflip from last weekend and thought, have bendable four link bars been discussed? I feel like they could be done but I'm unsure. And what I mean is that instead of the bar snapping off completely they could instead bend and kink out, obviously a horribly hard landing could snap the whole thing off the axle or the chassis but it could add some realism involving the hard landings on back flips and stuff.
I'm not sure about it but if the devs think its possible then they might add it. It's really about what the devs can incorporate into the mod without destroying the game or mod itself. So yeah, I think its possible but I'm not speaking on behalf of the devs its just being logical! Good idea though!
F2YS has explained this to me before, but it's more of a game limitation thing. you'd have to model and jbeam the part in order for it to bend where it should, which is a TON of work and WILL break the truck in numerous ways. just having a 4 link bar breaking off is the best scenario for us. F2YS could probably explain it better
A beam between two nodes can't bend, game engine currently supports uniaxial deformation only: that means, beams can only stretch or compress lengthwise.
The only way to achieve that would be increasing node density - like, having each of the four links structured as multi-node bars - but that brings along a series of issues and complications, last but not least a significant impact on mod complexity and overall performance.
Hey all. Had a question and please let me know if this is against the rules. I’m not sure if many know of me or know much about me but I’ll give a brief story. My name is Devin Winfield. I work for Feld entertainment and monster jam as a tech official and now a ride truck driver for the thunder alley project moving my way up with the company. My brother is now 16 being diagnosed with cancer a week before the world finals when he was 12. Monster jam has been our life, and to make that sound the least amount of cliche possible or cheesy take it as you will. I came to this thread to see if someone can help me with a project on this already amazing mod. I will PayPal or Venmo or whatever it is app you use someone $100 if someone can put and or make the Monster Jam Megalodon, Max D , and el toro loco in beam ng. My brother has neuropathy in his legs due to the cancer and everything he has been through. One of his main ways to escape and have fun is by playing his computer. Beamng being by far his favorite. Thank you guys and let me know if this is possible. I appreciate you all.
We discussed this before. I'm very sorry for your little brother (believe me, I know what it means, being a cancer survivor) but we are not accepting donations or any kind of support campaigns right now.
I would love to see an S10 body in the future, I don't know how difficult it would be to implement but I'd love to see one! Trucks I know have used the body style are Black Pearl, Bad Company, Avenger, Wrecking Crew, Rage, Ragin' Rebel, Equalizer, Brutus, Bad News Travels Fast, The original Scarlet Bandit and Bounty Hunter, and Firemouth. Although I know there are probably more. Before anyone asks, I know the majority of these trucks never ran on a CRD but they'd still be nice to get as repli-customs.
Team Scream runs S10, which to my knowledge has only ever ran on CRC (Cory Rummell Chassis), PEI (their body on a FELD truck), Koehler and Racesource. Ragin' Rebel and the old Equalizer also had the S10, but that was a custom chassis. Bad Company started as a 2014-ish Silverado, different from S10 (S10 ended up becoming the Colorado), which ran CRD. Black Pearl also ran a similar 2014-ish Silverado but on an Eddie/Cohen chassis. The new 2016 Z71 Silverado Bad Company body has been ran on both of his chassis', and the same body Black Pearl ran on John's CRD and the Eddie/Cohen owned by Garner. Bad News I believe has always been an older year Silverado, on the original chassis and the PEI. The yellow bodied Bounty Hunter looks like a S10, custom chassis. Bandit definitely S10, same custom chassis. Firemouth is S10, but PEI. Would love to see some of these too, but right now the only ones possible would be Pearl and Company, if we get a newer Silverado.
Would it be possible in the future to add different engine options? Aside from the 3 currently, like some trucks run chevy motors, some ford, some hemi i think, or diesels like duramax powerstroke and cummins. Just a random idea
We are in the slow process if getting a diesel ingame, but it won’t be out for a few updates as it isn’t important right now. So yes we will have different engine options down the line.
The MIZ: AWESOME!!!!! ME: ARE YOU INSANE!
I don’t know, am I?
I Don't Know! Are you!
