WIP World of Outlaws style Sprint Car

    What started as pushing the limits of what Automation can do has turned into the beginnings of a full fledged mod, I think. This is a sprint car based on the World of Outlaws Sprint 410 series. It has different sized rear tires and lots of power, making it hard to control, but in theory similar to the real things? This thing is made to turn left. This thing is made to drift. It will do both, maybe too well.

    This has been designed around the Dirt Oval and Dirt Oval 2 from the Motorsports Playground map: https://www.beamng.com/resources/motorsports-playground.21834/

    This is very much an early work in progress with numerous issues.

    Known issues include:
    Super hard to control
    Tire friction needs to be adjusted
    Collision mesh could be improved.
    Visual meshes could definitely be improved (wings, body, and exhaust for sure).
    Some textures decided to stop working.
    Adding sponsors and numbers as paint designs.
    Adjusting the gearing.

    Long term plans also include adding other engines for different classes.

    Edit: 2 basic skins added. Constant downforce added to increase stability.

    Yes, I agree @ Dude this looks AWESOME!

    I love 410 Methanol burning V8 Sprintcars..
    About time someone made the tyres use different size inside tyre to outside tyre (tire) to be authentic like..
    It would be great to have the smaller inner tyre at a different psi to the outside tyre but ummm BeamNG dot drive wasn't designed to behave like that from what I understand..
    Now I will be able to recreate my own version of the 2007 Sprintcar Expresion Session At The Perth Motorplex but instead of being on YouTube, it will be on BeamNG .drive running on Linux.. XD

    Please you didn't say this thing is made to drift right, "Shake My Head",

    Too drift you need another car to stay next to you, Sprintcars don't drift, They race and powerslide with throttles held wide open and not tapping the go pedal like tofu delivery cars do to control the back n fourth rotation..
    Sprintcars only need to turn right to go left by powersliding/broadsliding, That's nothing like drifting...

    Now the KIWI NZ Mini Stock has a real big bro to show him how it's really done.

    Good idea. Independent tire pressure on the rear (and independent wheel stiffness in case anyone wants to go crazy and needs to adjust this to keep it from exploding) have been added!

    could use some more grip but overall if you use it on controller it is bearable

    Mentioned to another guy making one. But same applies here I guess as I got no traction there.

    I have a full model I made from scratch part by part following multiple sprintcar build videos. Could it be of use? I am new to the game and have modded plenty of games but haven't bothered to check the process just yet (been enjoying what others have made). What poly count do we usually look for on beamng vehicles? This ones 900k verts. I'm also working on a mid poly version (35k).
