the only peugeot in my opinion that should had be done better would be the 605. Others and everything with XUD engine is great. --- Post updated --- nothing, but the car is as edgy as its fans (pun intended)
Subaru: firmly entrenched with "active lifestylers", and with people who are fans of new-type EDM and "stance". WRX/STi was never as sharp as the Evo. That flat-four was never going to be the best-sounding engine in the world; with UEL headers it either sounds OK or sounds like it's on its last dying legs (straight pipes tend to lead to the latter, especially on older low-rev engines), with EL headers it just sounds like a boring I4. Flat sixes always manage to sound nice, but only come in the larger vehicles and may have become auto-only or even CVT-only. Not the best at styling. Due to longitudinally-mounted engines and baked-in provisions for rearward power transfer, however, Subarus going back to the 1980s are probably some of the only natively-FWD cars that would actually make good candidates for RWD conversion (note - I have not actually verified that this would be possible).
Fun fact both the Yugo and Subaru where imported by Malcolm Bricklin and he made the Bricklin SV-1 one of my favorites sports car
It had a lot of probems and bricklin was not a good businessman. if he had given more time for R&D on the SV-1 it could have been amazing in terms of quality. dont know if you heard it but a former bricklin employee and member of the design team has taken that time and fixed all of the cars issues making it a superb daily driver. it only took him 28 years to fix all problems on his own.
Said by a guy with basically the same car style, but older and slower, in his profile picture. --- Post updated --- So, your only problem is that they don't sound or look well? Yeah... --- Post updated --- IMHO, you can't really speak about the "worst" car company. Many good companies have put hunks of shite out, many bad companies have made great cars. In addition, those with low quality cars often make it up with great pricing.
Prince Skylines. They're some of the coolest cars in the world, but, One: Rust! They aren't particularly well built, so they rust badly. Worse than American cars, unbelievably! Two: Parts! I live in the US, so parts, Impossible! Three: Confusing Japanese Engines! My Dream Skyline, the Skyline BLSIP-3, with the Gloria engine in it, has an overhead cam, an early one. So yeah! (These aren't the current Nissan Skyline GT-Rs, these are their predecessors.
the worse car company? well if we are going with built to last and reliability and ease of maintenance, most of them suck. why can't vehicles be built to last anymore?
IMHO, you can't really speak about the "worst" car company. Many good companies have put hunks of shite out, many bad companies have made great cars. In addition, those with lo 60s US rustproofing was probably at least midrange for the global standard, being on par with German makes, and only beaten by the Swedish brands and the most luxurious British ones (Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Humber). The copious amounts of salt on Midwestern roads meant that American cars pretty much had to be rustproofed well.
My friend has a chevy astro demolition derby van and its going on to its 13th demolition derby, The thing is pretty much stock besides the gas tank and the roll cage for his safety, but the thing still runs like a champ even on five cylinders and its holding up pretty well.
