Hello everyone! This isn't really a request, but I was curious. Would dynamic mud ever be possible for Beamng? Sort of like Spintires has, the mud would have to be completely dynamic, meaning mudslides would be possible. Though this is probably possible (look up dynamic fluid sims in blender), what would it take to run? Beamng alone takes quite a bit, but what would it take if we had dynamic mud, or even dynamic sand? Once again, this is NOT a request, simply because I know it can not be easily done atm, if at all.

Probably not. I can only imagine the lag with soft terrain in beam...

Beam = Soft body cars (Needs power)
Spintires = Soft Terrain (Needs power)
Soft Body cars +Soft Terrain = Power that no PC has.

While actual dynamic mud does not seem that feasible right now, there is another alley that Beam could simulate perhaps. When you spin your tires over mud, sand, and snow, they tend to dig into the material instead of gripping and providing movement. This could be more easily simulated and make it so spinning the tires is not the easiest way to go through mud as it currently appears to be. It would allow even offroad vehicles driven poorly able to get beached or stuck in mud.

Agreed. You can basically run even the shittiest base model covet into a huge mud pit and get through by flooring it for long enough, just takes ages.

Torque isn't really made for modern open world driving games.
