Xbox Controller - Error 0x00000001

When I insert my Xbox 360 Wired controller, the game crashes with 0x00000001 as the error code. It also happens when launching the game with the controller already inserted.

I have already tried launching in safe mode, reinstalling the game (as per this), and clearing the ~/Documents/BeamNG.drive/ folder.

The controller works fine in GTA V. The controller also works by directly running the binary without Steam.

Update: It now works. I don't know why.
