I remember, years ago, I used to have some really slow ASUS laptop. Something that looked like this from around 2015 (I forgot the model) It came with a really early version of Windows 10, and also a Canon printer, which I still have today. It has virtually no storage space, it was only like a 25GB SSD, but it felt like a HDD. Only 4GB of RAM, Intel UHD Integrated Graphics, and I believe a 4-core CPU. Also only a 1366x768 screen, which was OK back then. I installed a few apps, such as ROBLOX, Asphalt 8, Music Maker Jam, and a few others from online. Asphalt ran OK, and I played that game every day (now A8 is p2w). Music Maker Jam was good too, as a starting way for me to start music. I kept this laptop until around 2020, when I was working on a school presentation, and it BSODed on me. It was 5 years old at this point, and the more demanding software I was installing, it simply wouldnt cope, so an upgrade was needed. Anyway, I got a new laptop, HP Pavillion Gaming 15. Comes with a Ryzen 5 3500h 8core CPU, 8GB RAM, but I upgraded to 16, 256GB NVME SSD, but I added a 1TB SATA SSD, and a GTX 1050 dGPU and Radeon Vega 8 iGPU. I still use this laptop today for everything I need it to. This includes playing BeamNG and other games, editing videos, developing BeamNG mods, creating music in FL Studio, running local servers, and it still holds up good I think it is near its life though. Not a softlock, as it can upgrade to Windows 11, but because its just becoming outdated. Even BeamNG with the citybus sometimes struggles to get consistent 40FPS, and I cant seem to get the disk free over 20GB. Also, sometimes, when minimizing apps, I do see some green and black lines pop up where they were temporarily, so either its a rendering issue, or the iGPU is on its way out. Makes sense considering when gaming, the CPU + iGPU is aroound 85c+, even reaching 95c sometimes --- Post updated --- I remember too, I had this Windows 8.1 tablet, something like this, except I dont remember it being HP. This was around 2017, so I cant really remember I cant even remember the specs, but I think it had 4GB of RAM. I didnt have a mouse or keyboard at this time, so I had to use the touchscreen, which wasnt that bad. The start menu was harder to use than Windows 10 though. I ended up installing a PC remote to use your other device (Samsung Tablet) as a mouse or keyboard. It wasnt that bad performance wise, as I was able to play ROBLOX on it, but only with the PC remote. I also remember using OBS to record a video with it too, of a google translate funny melody (). Apparently, I tried to run a VM on this, but no way that would have worked. I ended up running Windows 95 in a VM on my old Asus laptop. This wasnt bad, but there was no point for it. Why have this when I had a laptop?
Acer Aspire E5-574 w/ 1TB SSD Running Pop Os It doesn't run BeamNG, runs ATS at the lowest (i mean LOWEST) graphic settings I also have another PC, runs Debian. Has an AMD FX, failing HD. Never tested any games on it, but it can't even run debian at 60fps
Mine is AMD A8-6500b APU processor, 24GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM, Radeon R7 350X graphics, 500GB HDD. Runs West Coast at 25 fps on lowest.
