***LATEST UPDATE CAUSES TIRES TO BURST... NEED HELP FIXING THIS***
    Hi all,
I've been working for about the past 3 weekends on really reworking and reviving this mod. I like old Bimmers, so I just wanted to keep the spirit alive in BeamNG.

First thing's first: I give all credit for everything that I did not create/modify to ky13harbor9. This is in no way intended to be stealing his original product.

    WHAT'S NEW WITH THIS MOD
    • Exterior Forza 3 model has been entirely replaced with a LOD0 (full quality) Horizon 2 model.
    • Engine, drive shaft, and differential replaced with Project CARS LODX models.
    • (relatively) New menu selector implemented into mod.
    WHAT DOES THIS MEAN LOL
Basically, the car now looks like a full quality Forza Horizon 2 model. The same thing you see on your screen while driving is what I've just put into BeamNG. (NOTE: INTERIOR IS STILL FM3 model... it looks fine tho)
Also, you now have a fully modeled and textured BMW S14 motor, straight out of Project CARS.

I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS SHOW ME SCREENSHOTS

note: since these photos were taken, the headlights were changed so now they are transparent and accurate rather than flat, as they appear here.

GOOD LORD THAT'S GORGEOUS... WILL IT BLOW UP MY COMPUTER?

Most likely, no. I have a GTX 660 and a Core i5 3570k. It runs great, just don't forget to turn off dynamic reflections because they do absolutely nothing on this car (except lag it to hell).

    KNOWN BUGS
    • Speedo app shows 0 (use the debug for now. I need help fixing this.)
    • New frame tends to deform a bit weird (most of the time looks fine)
    • Handles sort of like a fat girl on stilts
    • G27 wheel LEDs not functional with car
Once again- All credit for everything I did not create goes to ky13harbor9.
    Enjoy.

Of course. That's the main reason I didn't edit the interior... Along with the fact that it looks okay as-is.

You have re-done the textures and I like the fact that you tried to contact the author. Hopefully you have no issues of anything 'legal' and 'illegal.' Perhaps you could try to add the wheel selections to the Bimmer? Anyways, I like this mod and old BMWs in general. ;)

So... an HD remake? Excellent! Can't wait to crash it and watch it burn with the new fire thing.

The textures as well as the entire model itself, apart from the interior and some suspension parts. I'm getting ready to release it.

*sparkle sparkle* look the headlights are fixed

I'm not sure how to add the new ignition system. This will most likely be an ongoing project with occasional updates, so I look forward to adding wheels, skins, etc.

update: lol i just figured out the fire. not hard.

I traction rolled the Bimmer. I noticed the speedometer doesn't work either.

It's an old mod, still a work in progress. What do the LEDs display on the G27? Is it RPM, or what? (I only have an old ass G25 lol)

I noticed the suspension was sort of trash, too. I don't know how to fix this, but I'd really like to, and I'm seeking help on making it handle better.

My main goal for this whole project, if you will, is to take something that was OK and make it a helluva lot better.
