I think it's finally time for a version 1.00 release. I originally made the node and beam for Rigs of Rods using the editorizor. I decided to port this over to BeamNG once I saw Mythbuster was doing a Jeep. I've put a lot of time into it. Most of the vehicle is made by me except the following: -Rims on the 35 inch tires are by Gabester, as are the some of the Jbeam bits and pieces. -Dirt textures are by LFJhutch and Gabester, I did the alpha's. -44 inch TSL's are by Eclipse years ago from the 4x4 Evo 2 community. -Thanks to Mythbuster for helping me with the lights... and many other things. Some Things/issues: -I know the mesh looks dated. I doubt I'll update it, sorry. :\ -It has a t-case doubler so I made up 3 diff slots for crawl ratios. -There's 3 wheel, and 2 suspension ride height choices. -The trail gear in the rear hatch area might deform weird sometimes. I already know. I hope you guys enjoy it. It took a lot of time to get the vehicle to where it's at now, crashing, driving, visual, everything. I do plan to update it later, as I'm sure some issues will arise.
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 Thanks Dkutch! I have been looking forward to your jeep more then any other vehicle.
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 The quality of this thing is... AMAZING!!!!!!! already my favorite vehicle in the game and I've only been driving it for 1 minute!!!
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 Sweet! Downloading it now, I was wondering when you were going to release that jeep. Your's is mostly the only one that is being worked on.
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 This thing is quite the little beast. I added a real-spec 5.2L Magnum and it couldn't even spin the 44's. Love this rig. So many options.
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 Nice. Better download it before he takes down this one, too.
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 Oh man, this looks awesome! Can't wait to try it; downloading now. EDIT: Been trying it for only a few minutes and I'm already in love with it. Awesome work Only thing I'm noticing is: if you have the 44-inch wheels on, they deform really easily. Example screenshot below. This also happens upon entering a hard corner at high speeds (occasionally) and after landing a jump. That's all I've seen wrong with this so far; other than that it's a very fun offroader.
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 OMG man this is amazing! Thanks for the Jeep Dkutch! Will test right now!
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 must not be double sided and the normals are facing in I guess edit: apparently I'm wrong
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 I had to knock the dust off my old Swift Islands map to see if this fella was up to the task of Mt. Impossibru. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErIRzT5Kn8I
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 Now, Before I say anything, Besides this first sentence, I'd like to say I have no knowledge of jbeams, Whether this is a glitch, or a simple error, or has nothing to do with the vehicle what so ever, I feel the need to bring it up. There seems to be a extra node
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 I think that is the camera for the side wheels like in other Gabester's cars.
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 This Jeep is so epic I made a video with my comments on it. Great Jeep Dkutch! 200th post, and i sucked.. Also pretty cool picture
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 Thats one thing Ive been fighting since the moonbuggy even. Seems like the bigger the tire, the harder it is to prevent it. Even if I wanted to, the Moonbuggy is so outdated at this point that it's just frustrating to try and use. That has to be due to your video card. I know I assigned the flexbody properly, and it never shows up like that on my screen.
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 I know the feel, it's almost impossible to make bigger wheels stronger without them breaking easily. You can edit one of the .lua files to stop it, but that's not very handy when releasing mods.
Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0 Maybe I'll figure it out for a future update. As they are now, they're the best behaving tires I've had on the Jeep.
