Can't wait till this map is done. Looks really well made and it's sort of original too. Great work! Keep it up!
Very small update: I created more LOD and collision meshes. FPS is quite good now at the moment. At least 40 FPS with my GTX980 Ti. The tunnel is back...at least a piece of it. You can't drive up again at the moment...maybe later. But for the september-release it is too much work to do. Don't expect something new till september...I'll just improve the framerate.
i think am good with fps cuz that will be my pc Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz 16.0 GB i think it will work
This map looks looks good ! Nice to hear that you're adding some LODs to improve FPS ! But I'm wondering, you said you're doing everything with Sketchup, however I never found any way to add LODs and collision meshes without exporting to Blender. Could you tell me how you're doing that ?
You have to add them with the ingame mesh editor. I have several LODs for my models. I call them for example: Sign.dae Sign_low.dae Sign_ulow.dae Sign_colmesh.dae Then import the highres model into your map. Select it...and open the mesh editor. Details -> Add new Detail -> select your low-model. At the moment I am at work. I can make a short tutorial when I come home later.
Thanks, I'd love to have a short tutorial on this, for the moment I'm stuck at the "Add new Detail" part, I can't seem to find the right button to press Also this is more curiosity than anything else, I'm used to modeling in Blender but knowing some alternative ways can't hurt
wow, people still use Pentium CPUs in 2016? someone's stuck in time. (btw, sarcasm) which Pentium generation is it?
