Also notice how big difference there are between the cars. Lets take the red car as a big red truck. Even due to the fact that we are seeing it as a "truck", its still a HUGE difference between the sizes and positions of the cars. Honestly, it looks like the "police car" is a super mini covet. Meanwhile the red truck must be a monster truck with normal wheels. But seriously, I have no absolute hate on gta or its engine, its physics, or anything.
The guide has been leaked and with it the map (the comparison image is correctly scaled using the lane width and airport size, etc)
That's the thing, you buy it for PS3/X360 or you don't play it. I will buy it for PC, but I don't wanna wait 9+ months.
I wonder how it compares with Panau, from Just Cause 2. Good thing PC is delayed. I was scared to have just 7 more days to have closure with my real life. We'll miss you, console people. - Darn. I'll also miss the reasonable Niko Bellic .
Don't you wonder if all that northern part of the island will be as rich and unique as the urban area? GTA IV had a little bit more density of detail on a human scale than Just Cause 2. V shall extrapolate a little more. But if you go that way, Pikmin is even more detailed . Just kidding, of course.
Ok before saying the map is small remember it is bigger than GTA SA, IV, and RDR all together, and look at this: http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/37/1378819262-map-gta-5.jpg
I'd buy the game based on map alone. I like the idea of a city, surrounded by countryside with little towns dotted around. It won't get boring anytime soon Anyway, I will be waiting for the PC version. Which for the release price, abotu £50, its a good thing I'll have to wait. It can come down in price for a start!
I didn't mean to belittle GTA. I was just teasing the comparison in perspective. It's not a Katamari competition. I loved some previous ones and, even if they do their market driven acrobatics, I trust Rockstar as a quality driven game studio like few others. They know their scope. I will not be disappointed if they didn't add microscopes nor telescopes in the game. Tomorrow's technology and workflows can only handle so much and I'm more than ok with that. But I do wish it (and many other current games) had half the HDR of BeamNG Drive. That would be feasible weren't it for that pesky ps3/XBox360 market. I bet next gen GTA V already have it and so hopefully will PC.
I don't know how accurate the GTA 4 map overlay on the GTA 5 map is (scale-wise). I do know for a fact that GTA 4's map is about 1.5 miles tall (north to south). I measured it
It has supposedly 49 square miles. Also I find very interesting that it has a budget of $265 million.
