Usually, when I hit the Hirochi Suburst on either rear quater panels or the trunk area (not even at that high of a speed) either the nodes or beams "break" somehow and it begins to eat itself. It crushes and glitches out until it breaks and the game is reset.

It almost always starts where the C Pillar meets the trunk. In the picture, I hit it with the 1980's Pessima at around 45 mph from directly behind.

You hit the rear at 45 mp/h and it implodes in a minute or two. Sometimes the physics break too.!

No, that's not the point. The problem is that whenever the Sunburst is rear ended around the C-pillar, it implodes and collapses on itself. I can testify this, I have seen it happen, although I haven't taken screenshots.

It was around 45 mph @Robert I checked it right before impact. That's how bad the "eating problem" is. The only damage I observed after the crash was the to the rear left-hand quarter panel. The wheels, trunk, everything was still there. After around 15 seconds it began to eat. I left it until the last possible second to take a screenshot just to show how bad it is. I swear on my life the reason there is no trunk is because of that problem alone.

Pardon? This is a bug, the entire rear of the car implodes on itself (like, after the crash, it eats itself) if hit at moderate speeds. This isn't a matter of strength of the car.

I just smashed the rear end a bit, the rear glass was jiggling on it's own.

I haven't been able to replicate this with a lot of testing using the above conditions, which leads me to believe that we accidentally fixed it at some point in the last month while changing lots of other things.

Just do be sure, i have the same problem! Without any vehicle mods installed! The Sunburst "eat" itself every time when getting bigger damage on the rear.

I have this issue as well.
Seems as if you need to be going at least 50 mph for it to work though.

I just tested it in .5.2, and it still happens. Just take the sunburst and back it into a wall at high speeds a few times and it will eat itself.

It seems to have been fixed with the method I tried and I haven't encountered it by accident. Sucks that it isn't fixed totally.
BTW if you haven't already, post it in the feedback thread.

Its still not fixed.. btw sorry for the bump. I go 50/60 into a wall 2-3 times and it eats its self.
