Hello All, Update! Good news the bus is going as planned but work is still slow, I have the jbeam in game and the frame, those are the biggest parts of this mod, the rest should only take a few weeks, I want to post a workflow video of the work done so far. The new Body jbeam is much more complex and stable then the school bus, I was surprised when testing it at how well it deforms, although I may need to make the nodes a little denser to help reduce spiking. I renamed all the nodes manually for easy editing. I want to make this bus mod friendly, the old school bus has non-uniform node names which make it difficult to edit and mod, this bus will have uniform node names. I switch the node names to the model set by the devs. The front bottom of the bus body starts with "node10" as the nodes go up on the z axis the node go by 1'sl, (node10, node11, node12, node13, node14, node15 etc.) As the nodes go back on the Y axis they go by 10's (node10, node20, node30, node40, node50 etc.) and of course left and right is marked with the "r and l" designation this makes it much easier to edit, for example with the old bus it took nearly 3 hours to stitch the body to the frame, with this new design it took 20min Also the jbeam file will be much cleaner, you'll notice that with the old bus the nodes and beams are scattered almost everywhere, but this time I'll be taking another lesson from the Devs jbeam design, lending to easier editing and modding with easier edits I can release the bus faster which is why I give it 2-3 weeks for release. The textures are nearly done, the engine is modeled I just have to modify the jbeams for it and its set. Here are some progress screens, still heavy WIP cheers!
Ooohh yes, my school has the flat front buses and are cold as $%*#* in the winter and hot AF in the spring/summer and it feels like the suspension is made of rocks and the seats are stained with lord knows what (and all that triggers me) so i cant wait to bash in the rectangleness of this bus! BTW Thanks for all the hard work you have been putting into your content.
Oh yes your revenge awaits! Here is a Roll test video at 95mph! Bus driver lost control and the wheel popped. Getting closer to release everyday!
Perhaps make a new thread since the bus is basically new with the flat nose. Might be a good idea, really.
All progress and updates for the flat notes bus have been moved to http://www.beamng.com/threads/blue-bird-bus-type-d-rear-engine.31616/#post-464340
Okay, that's enough off topic for this thread. You aren't entitled to anything, and you especially don't need to be so petty as to think you are better than anyone else here. Also, its painfully obvious how young you are. Trying to sound older by saying "don't back sass me" in all caps makes you look extremely cretinous
So for the school bus, does anyone have any idea for the switches to work. A.K.A. (switch panel to left of driver seat). --- Post updated --- The bus also has problems with "Engine Is Starved Of Oil". Anyone have any ideas. --- Post updated --- The bus also has problems with the engine oil. --- Post updated --- Can someone make the switch board, like my picture, actually work.
