yeah the temperature gotta be right. BTW the torque was 10 kgm at max. BTW Thanks for replying. --- Post updated --- gonna maybe work on it today
My 1986 Honda Helix lost compression. Rebuilding the top end of the motor now Before: Halfway in: Tore down:
Continued to attempt to diagnose which cylinder the headgasket head been blown on (Thinking center left side from facing towards the engine in front, Yeah THAT one.), on my 1994 Ford Explorer. Also looked at new shocks, priced out spark plugs (Because mine are BLACK), figured out how much it would cost to get a new windshield and a new sunroof. Attempted to source new seats/Center console that are clad in cloth as mine are ancient sun beaten (water damaged?) leather and it is kinda gross in there atm. Also found a motor mount kit as mine are damaged. And figured out I needed to ask for help. The brakes are VERY uneven when slowing down. Almost like the disc is warped or something. Opinions? Are the discs actually warped? Because it is very obvious it's up front where it is Disc brakes. Also I get BAD vibrations at 40-45 MPH. Like the whole truck shudders. Not transmission, shifts smooth as ****, no shavings in the fluid. Any ideas on that?
Same old... Self-done oil change. $22 dollars of gas. Windshield wiper fluid. Worn out disc brake replacement. Put some fuses in.
Not exactly today but replaced the left side handbrake cable last week and the right side last tuesday. Washed it few days ago And yesterday I decided to try calling the car dealership again if they would have finally found the 2 spare keys for my car. Good thing I did since they actually had found them. Just left me wondering why they didn't send them to me right when they found them, istead of when I call them again.
I finally decided to start tuning my car and stop running off the stock type r computer. I ordered another obd2b to obd1 step down harness to replace the one I needed to salvage for an emergency repair of a friends car. I suspect it runs rich at low load low rpm situations due to no o2 sensor, and lean at hi rpm due to the no cat and tubular header I put on. I'm not even getting an AFR Guage, simply going to wire the 5 volt o2 signal to the hondata, and data log third gear pulls to analyze the fuel map hopefully. The hondata has Bluetooth so I'll moniter all the boring crap like injector duty cycle on an Android device. Anyone want to take bets on wether or not I blow it up? Talk about a silver lining. The focus was a good car, but that wrx is going to be a blast in rainy England. Cheers you yobbo hooligan.
Went to the junkyard, found something odd. French technology is strange. They took an air shock, attached a hand grenade to it, and improved it?
But we are strange my friend. I'm pretty sure that it's hight reaglable air shock. Probably from a Citroën, maybe a GS or a DS. Something in that style for sure. http://dssmpassion.fr/images/ds/hydraulique/cylindresuspension/cylindre_suspension_citroen_ds.jpg
Ah, its a gas accumulator, they function similarly to capacitors in electronics, storing a temporary "charge" of air and filtering minute instantaneous changes in pressure
I have no idea, All I know is it was a Citroen, And it was a pretty mangled one at that. --- Post updated --- And, I've got the light bar on the silver Dodge, thinking about putting the 35 inch Toyo's back on.
how many trucks do you own? you seem to have fun with your trucks, or at least learn something, which is always nice. I think it would be great fun to mess around with trucks, sadly i have nowhere to do that.
Three at the moment. 95 half ton 4wd Dodge, the silver truck above. 360, factory replaced 47RH, NP231HD, 3:73 limited slip, 103,000 miles. 3 inch lift. It's the daily. Only real complaint with it is I wish it had steeper gears, with 3:73 I feel like it's coming out of overdrive more than I'd like. And I think it sounds pretty nice. 94 one ton 2wd Dodge, 12 valve Cummins, NV4500, I forget what exactly has been done to it, as this truck was dad's project before he passed, but I believe it's either 90 or 120 HP injectors, the fuel plate removed, timing advance, Not sure what all, not much, but I know it's in the 340-ish HP and 700-ish torque. It's been sitting for a while now, I've got to clean alot of gummed up diesel fuel out of all the lines. And the last one is an 86 K5 Blazer, I thought of selling it and getting a higher optioned one, because this one is Gov't order, originally belonging to the USGS, so no options at all, vinyl seats, rubber floor, no radio. But, It's such a nice clean body, I can't bring myself to get rid of it. Just over this last week or so I've put a "Shopping list" together for it. 4 Inch lift, 33x12.50's, the 400 SBC that I've had mothballed over at a friend's house for the last two years, and painting the factory GM Midnight blue that it was originally. I've got a pile of pieces I pulled a Suburban a friend of mine was scrapping. Heres how it sits now. And here a friend from another forum who has essentially the same truck only his is fuel injected and a 4 speed, it even came from the USGS as well. It's more or less my end goal.
