0.16 Discussion Thread

If you take the Hopper Custom & make its suspension be as tall as possible, then it will automatically stray to right A LOT when driving... Sometimes it can even take corners just with that

So in Tesla, first few percent of throttle adjusts regen braking and 0 throttle is not at 0 position of throttle pedal, but bit higher, so there eSBR certainly seem to be different than Tesla and that linked post also gives good reason why it is so.

However not all the electric cars are same and hybrids are different from electric cars, so not sure if that is chosen design quirkiness to live with or if it is something else.

I know I would like to have throttle pedal to adjust regen like with Tesla as now it is bit annoying to drive, you get either acceleration or deceleration at certain situations, also using cruise control causes car to accelerate and regenbrake in quick loop which can be annoying.

 

Small thing, but some reason the Roamer spawns in single colour when you just double click its icon, but when going in and manually selecting the V8 4WD XT configs it spawns as expected from the thumbnail.



This is running the game in safe mode after clearing cache too.

 

Drive Arcanox's Hybird ETK800 using the "L" gear and you get that Tesla full regen feeling

 

I've just discovered this simulator/game, and I am hooked. It is amazing how there seems to be no end to customization, and community/player input and contribution. I just wanted to share how excited I am about the development of this sim. And thank everyone involved in developing it!

 

I updated my graphics drivers and no longer experience this issue, try that if you have this problem.

 

Okay, I actually disabled mods this time.

I'm having port problems in Italy. I think I must be missing assets or something, as there are no shipping containers. There are also parts of the new gas stations that don't appear. I've reinstalled the game twice now, verified integrity, cleared cache (or tried to, not sure if it was successful), and no luck.


I still have the 0.15 version installed, and downloaded the game through Humble Bundle.

 

Wonderful update. Really loving the crap out of it! One thing I noticed: Automatic, DCT, and Sequential gearboxes do not have the throttle blipping sound when downshifting anymore. Downshifts are very quiet and uncanny now. Hopefully it's an easy fix!

 

Well considering the port is in the 0.16 update, that's your issue....

If I interpreted your post wrong and you have 0.16 installed too just delete the 'italy' folder in Documents>BeamNG.drive>levels (if it exists) and that may solve the issue

 

Yeah, I have .16 and .15 both, sorry. I'll give that a shot, thanks.

EDIT: No such luck, I'm still missing the shipping containers.

 

I'm really pissed off due to this update. The 800-series and Sunburst have been horribly mutilated. Sunburst's yummy curves has been reduced to vague shapes.

This wide-narrow body design is nonsense. Was Hirochi like "Hey, our manufacturing costs are too low, let's overcomplicate the Sunburst's manufacturing process by making two sets of parts (which are near identical to the naked eye) for FWD and AWD trims! As a bonus, Sunburst owners get an extra headache when buying parts, since they, despite being near identical, aren't interchangeable!"

OLD SUNBURST OR RIOT!!!
The old 800's rear looked bold, strong and pleasantly curved. The new one, despite being sleeker, looks overweight and depressed. Its profile is reminiscent of forms of a woman with thin upper body and excess lower body fat. And this detail is totally excess here:

I'd even put up with the rest of the 800 if this line was removed.
I WOULD GLADLY PAY HALF OF THE GAME'S RETAIL PRICE FOR THESE CHANGES BEING REVERTED. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
Now the colors. This update also messed with the colors. And not just messed. My favorite ingame color, Verdant Green has been mercilessly molested. From a lively, happy, shade of green, it turned into camouflage-khaki mess possibly capable of causing flashbacks to war veterans.

These two were also altered and I like the old ones more. Navy Blue is now too close to Bermuda Blue and Forest Green looks like a weird shade of black. However, these were never my favorites, so I agree to put up with it.

These are some changes I don't mind:

BRING BACK THE VERDANT GREEN COLOR IN ITS PREVIOUS FORM!

On the Covet, all the steering wheels besides the 'economy' one are placed too high.

Nothing to discuss, but the update came out on my bday and I never realized it, talk about an awesome 'gift'!

 

Noticed that the ETK K-Series has it's orbit camera placed too low when driving. It's basically on the same level as the rear window, so seeing infront of you is kind of hard

P.S. How do I access the audio manipulator thing? Seen that it has been added, but can't find a way to get to it

this menu screen has had a little too much acid.. the other slide are ok tho

 

You have to click out of the ui, you can't be clicking on the ui, you have to click on the right side where the map/vehicle is, pause then change the parts then unpause

 

I didn't look through all the pages to see if anyone else had this, but I did check the known bugs. Anyway, how can I fix this?
