It's an experiment I'm trying which adds a second gearbox onto the output of the hybrid transmission to add sequential gearing...the acceleration isn't as good as Performance but it can hit ridiculously high speeds given enough time to accelerate because of its ability to upshift
The problem is the ETK800 gets unstable over 330km/h without spoiler. Since the ETK800 and the ETKK share the same chassis. The eCVT can be installed on to ETKK Trackday. However the Performance eCVT gets 500km/h while the Insane doesn't. Strangely, Insane power reduced instead of increase after upshifting.
Interesting, I'd have thought the motors would reach their limit before 500 km/h on the Performance one, unless my falloff equation is broken. Like I said, it's an early experiment that I probably should have disabled in the release since it's not finished yet. I pretty much chose random gear ratios and shift point AVs without any sort of tuning or fancy logic, so I'm not surprised that it's not terribly performance in its current state.
Very very very very very very very very interesting experiment. Engine 3.0L I6 Diesel Transmission standard eCVT Setup: Fuel 50.00L, Battery 38%, Cruise Control 75km/h. 1: Drive normally until 49.00L fuel left, then coast to a stop; 2: Charge mode to 90%, EV mode to 38%, coast to a stop, then Charge mode to 90%, EV mode to 38%....... Until fuel 49.00L battery 38%. The result is 2 is nearly twice efficient than 1!
Most likely due to the fact that the engine can run at its constant max-efficiency RPM without having to speed up or slow down when it's in charge mode. Also, I'm not simulating losses in charge mode In normal driving, the engine has to change speed depending on what speed MG1 is at.
Love the mod, but what is up with the engine revving up when lifting the throttle? Demonstrating it here, make sure to turn on sound and watch the pedal bar:
It's because the load on the engine is released faster than the throttle feedback loop can respond to the drop in load. I think I fixed that in my local version, but I still have work to do before releasing another update
i don't know why ,i can't use E and shift+e to change mode.i didn't find car specific control setting .
Do you have any other mods installed that might modify the ETK800? If another mod's input mappings are overriding mine, mine will disappear. So far I haven't been able to find a way to "merge" input mappings on a vehicle.
i don't think i have another etk 800 mod,but i try to find it now --- Post updated --- OK i find it,it's a car and plane 2in1 mod E it's jet engine control.now it's working
i don't know if it's this new beamng version but the car won't move at all, anyone else having this issue?
Yeah that might be the issue, I just disabled the postcrashextras mod I had for a while now and that fix it. Thanks!

It does seem to work for me, however my local copy has some extensive changes from the released version. I would imagine the released version would work fine in 0.16, however the BeamNG team made some minor changes to the ETK engine that may cause the hybrid system to work less-than-optimally until I release a new version. I'm very close to having the new version ready, so if there are issues, it shouldn't be long.
