1963 Gavril Bluebuck

Wood trim and leather bucket seats in a 1963?..

As carlover said, the Bubu should have a Bench seat for most trims and bucket seats for the roadsport (I'm assuming it'll get an RS with how historically important the Impala SS was). I'm not sure when wood trim's became popular, but not with a car like this. As far as I can tell, the Impala's first got fake wood interiors in the 1969 model year.

Because they reopened this thread, does that mean this is the car they are currently working on???

 

They opened the thread a little after the first in game teaser of it was released a couple of days ago.

 

I hate to be this guy, but when do you guys think that the Bluebuck/BuBu will be out? I’ve got my money on 0.17, it seems close.

 

If they keep it simple, there's a 50-50 for the next update IMO. This is a simple body on frame construction which should borrow a decent ammount from cars already in game. If they add any surprises or hold it out for some reason (like release it alongside the Wendover) then the update after next.

We don't know why they kept the engine visibility off, so there could be some surprises there. They could give it airbag suspension (either just up/down like the trucks or something more powerful, which would probably require a lot of work to prevent physics issues). Community support for extra body styles is seemingly on the rise every time it gets mentioned, so that's a possible surprise too.

I don't really think it will be out on the 0.17 update. The devs in the Beamng team won't likely upload one thing only in a major update base on their traditions. For example, esbr4 and Italy improvements, Autobello and Italy map, light runner skins with light runner map, wendward for west USA, it seems like that every major update recently will have two relating stuff released together. The Bluebuck is an old American sedan, it wouldn't make much sense if we suddenly receive a utah update or east USA update while the devs are busy working on bug fixes and adding new contents for Italy. I guess it will be out at the end of the year, maybe? But who knows, maybe we do get it in 0.17, since the next major update is likely 2-3 months away.

 

Or we'll get it in the update fix patch a few days after the update, just like the 200BX and Roamer.
