Only six different cars in traffic

I just see the same cars over and over again, I found an option that said: spawn any model. but it only added 2 cars. How can I get all the cars and trucks to work in traffic?

 

The way traffic works is that it spawns a certain amount of cars depending on how many cores your CPU has, and then it respawns them around the map while changing colors as you are driving to give the illusion of traffic. If you wanted all of the cars in the game spawned at one then you would need a very powerful CPU.

 

i did that and got three cars spawned, i went in the world editor and spawned 5 more and it worked no problem at 60 fps

 

Are you asking about the type of cars that spawn? By default it only spawns official cars, there is an option in the settings menu to allow trucks and mod cars, which it sounds like you found. Not sure if there's a way to spawn trucks but not mod cars, but you can always manually swap out stuff you don't want to spawn by selecting the car (tab) and changing it as normal. From my experience you will need to stop and restart traffic once you do this, otherwise those cars will not move.

Related side note, it seems that the pool of official traffic cars that the game will pull is a bit weird. I have yet to get any H-Series at all, any T-Series other than the T65 5th wheel uplift, any bus other than the default city bus config, and any cop other than the American passenger cars. It definetly likes to spawn some vehicles more than others, regardless of map.

Edit: enabled "any configuration" as well and got an H-Series. I guess all of the H-Series trucks are considered too unusual for street traffic?..

 

Yes, I mean the type of car, not the amount of cars. but what do you mean with manually swapping out vehicles in the car tab and changing them as normal?
( do you just mean replace the cars in traffic with ctrl+e?)

I also havent seen a H or T-series, also covet, bluebuck, roamer, hopper, pessima, piccolina and sunburst.

 

Yes, just spawn them yourself or swap them out using the vehicle menu.

It would be much better tho, if it would be different cars everytime a new one spawns.
