The thing I'd really like @DoullPepper to add to the Utah Map, (aside from the aforementioned "Bob's building" from the Rocky Start Campaign), is an abandoned gas station: Photo from https://pxhere.com/en/photo/487078 One of these two roads that cross across the center of the map would be a good spot - they both have lots of open space, and the riverside one has little in the way of points of interest at the moment.
There does need to be a functional gas station too. Utah should have a mix of abandoned and functional areas. For example, there should be some sort of a functional town, but a ghost town would be nice to accompany it.
The question is where are you going to put all of those? With current size of the map throwing buildings around isn't a good idea, since the map is too small for that. There are already some abandoned buildings around as well. And tbh, utah is one of those maps that looks great already and wasn't quite in need of revamp as much as other maps
Adding more buildings would ruin that unique feel of open space and freedom. However in my opinion every big map should have at least one gas station. Utah have perfect place for this - spawn point on that service area. This is perfect location and it is possible to change that area to fit gas station with motel and service. Also it don't need to be modern building.
Generally the only thing utah lacks is the size, since a map like that would need to be st least like 32x32km big to feel perfect, but its not really possible with the way maps work in BeamNG (lacks tile loading)
Id love to see tillable terrain in beam. Honestly the biggest thing i could think of would be the loading time. appart from that, (im no pro at coding or such related stuff so please elaborate if you can) but i think coding loading section in maps that loads new terrain tiles would be possible. the really annoying factor would be the loading time when arriving at different tiles. but im wondering, if you want to create a campaign with an event that changes the map because the track changes or something, couldnt it be done with a map as well? They added a dragster event, what if at the end of a highway there is something alike that asks you if you want to change map? or lets you select a new map in general. Or is none of what im saying even possible in the first place?
Look in the game files and it's not called bolide, it's literally called Super So, they could have two supercars...or one...I'd like more!
maybe it's just me that thinks when it's designated "super" and not bolide in the game files...then that means it's the only "supercar" we gonna have
even keep in mind, that when the bolide was added, the focus of the game was still on demolition derbies and such, so the bolide, despite being a 30-year-old entry level supercar, was likely chosen as a relatively cheap option, to be the most realistic "supercar" one would be able to get for banger racing/demolition derbies.
Some unwanted Hype and speculation: Utah is a map that is being revamped, Most map updates go with vehicles or vehicle addittions, Wendover: Confirmed to be finished. Wendover Also: is pretty american. So would that be a Utah and Wendover update?
no, the miramar was originally released with utah, so that means we're getting another JDM car with the utah update, likely a v16 prewar minivan. /s
no... please no prewar minivans... I would rather see something like a Nissan Skyline R32/R34 or a Nissan GT-R. or the SadLad WeWe
