Playing around with reshade settings while listening to Rom Di Prisco and Saki Kaskas (R.I.P.) to revel in memories. Feel free to post your own atmospheric/photorealistic screenshots or settings here. Thanks beamng + reshade devs + modders for your hard work! Edit: note, that these reshade settings are just dumped. In-game I just scroll through and start tweaking, and the presets are not really map-portable, but I hope it is helpful though.
Incredible shots man! It's a totally different take on the game but it looks awesome. By the way, what map is the picture with the tunnel from?
This is on the map Altitude from DoullPepper, from 2016. Got issues with the transparency of the foliage (you can see through the leaves directly into the sky), but still a cool map.
Question: How the hell did you get reshade to work on BeamNG.drive? For me, it just lags the main menu a whole lot and I can't even get into the game... I have like over 3000 FPS in the main menu but the shaders still lag everything. --- Post updated --- How the hell did you get reshade to work on BeamNG? For me, the shaders just lag the main menu to the point I can't even get into the game even though I get over 3000 FPS in the menu and have a GTX 1660 Ti...
First of all, you might want to enable V-Sync to lock framerate at 60 FPS, not sure if it helps reducing stuttering, but at least it saves GPU resources and power. Then, you can try to reduce resolution. I reduced to 1600x900 to get smooth responsiveness. My GPU is a RTX 2070, but a GTX 1660Ti still has 73% of that performance and should be capable of ReShade at lower res with non-heavy shader mixes. As a test: you can disable ReShade effects ingame with a key command (can be defined in ReShade settings menu or file). Then you can load a simple map and try to enable ReShade again. Take care that you have only a simple shader setting loaded. If you still experience heavy lags, we need check system specs (PM me then). Edit: V-Sync and framerate also could be configured with nvidia profile inspector, then you probably have to disable V-Sync in BeamNG. Cannot check at the moment, if it works. Edit II: Did you disable hardware acceleration for UI, too?
