    I have some comments.

    1) I do think we need a 1960's compact and midsize, they make great race cars and muscle cars and are generally handsome looking. I don't think they have too much overlap with the Bluebuck since we would then have a nice contrast between the land yacht and a nippy compact or more sensible midsized. A midsized could be a true muscle car like the concept list 1969 Moonhawk, unlike the pony car Barstow and sorta pre-muscle "just a full sized boat with a big engine" Bubu. But what does this have to do with the LeGran? It seems to me that most of those FWD 1980's sedans either stemmed from old full sized cars or had later roots.

    2) I refer to the Charmand 1304b which is exactly that but officially deferred for having too much overlap with the Covet. I admit, it would be cool though; the Europeans certainly knew how to make a cool hatchback.

    3) If we ever see a minivan, I personally want it to be a Dustbuster for the laughs or have the Previa's drive train for the sleepers.

We really dont have any modern/current car in the game beyond the ETK 800 and the ESBR. Something from Ibushi... like a third generation Pessima or Covet. Model year 2020. State of the art technology, possible build from scratch for electric drivetrain or very efficient ICE.

    Gasoline engines: 3 - 4 Cylinder --> 80 HP to 220 HP
    Diesel engines: 3 - 4 Cylinder - 80 HP - 200 HP
    Electric motor: 80 HP - 200 HP

    Hybrid?

Hybrid Range Extender (drive electric, then start ICE if range is not sufficient)

Hydrogen? Basically an fuel cell vehicle would be like an EV but the small battery is recharged from the fuel cell while driving. Driving it very hard could lead to battery being empty as the fuel cell cannot match output demand. So park for 15 minutes until enough electricity has been charged into the batteries again. Can run out both of battery charge and hydrogen charge. Still more range than battery vehicle but you should rather not crash the hydrogen pressure tank....

Maybe an engine running on CNG, too.

I'd like to have a mid-late 2010's SUV. I've said before that a modern version of the Roamer could be cool.

1930-1950 vehicles are also interesting. Perhaps a WW2 Willys Jeep or some cars from that time period. BeamNG is lacking in the classics, although there are some mods that have these types of vehicles.

Hot hatchbacks- small, fun to drive, endless possibilities for customization. Fiats, VW Golf, WRX come to mind. They can be modern or from the early 00's or 90's.

This backseat moderating is my form of censoring that ugly... thing... It looks like a modern house put on top of a mars rover platform.

Here are my ideas for possible future cars:

    A car from Eastern Bloc

    Modern SUV

    Pre WW2 car

    00s hybdrid car

    Smaller cabover truck (European preferably)

An MPV (I would like European)

    A car from 2000s

    Coach

Modern US-spec police car (also with civilian versions, of course)

Okay, I appreciate the new traffic, but for the sake of keeping order, I would like to remind users that:
    • Forum members restrict themselves to a list of nine or fewer vehicles
    • A brief, but at least two-sentence reasoning for the inclusion of each vehicle added to the list is provided.
    • Lists are ordered from the vehicle you want most (first) to vehicle you want least (last) to further help gauge interest.
    • Forum members refrain from posting more than one list (remember that you can go back and edit your post if you change your mind)
    • Forum members refrain from asking for vehicles that are wholesale copies of a single specific real-life vehicle.(however, mentioning of features of particular vehicles to help describe the features of their ideal Beamng vehicles is strongly encouraged)
    • Forum members refrain from asking for rumored vehicles (including those off of the 'concept list' - if any of those come, there is reason to believe will probably come as 'suprise' vehicles)

    1) A Prewar Car of Any Type

Reason: No surprise, one of the most requested vehicle archetypes among the Beam community, a prewar car would have a lot of versatility and customization potential, and would also share multiple body styles on the same platform, from a 2-door roadster to a pickup truck. The devs could also take it a step further and make it a small, cute British car, killing two birds with one stone, being the first British and pre-war car. It would also have a lot of custom variants, from a lowboy to a salt flat racer, to a mud-bogging drag racer. Bonus points for a hilarious snowmobile variant with caterpillar tracks in the back instead of tires.

    2) A 1940's/50's Soviet Microcar

Reason: Why not? Lightweight, tossable, and somewhat fragile, what's not to love? It could be a fun companion car to the Ibishu Pigeon, and with some tuning, it can be a real flyer. It can also come with a removable hardtop, and a foldable (and removable) windshield. It would be the first Soviet car in-game, introducing another country that isn't represented in-game yet.

    3) A Soviet 8x8 Off-Road Tractor Trailer

Reason: Combining the off-road capability with the versatility of a tractor trailer, this would be a very fun vehicle to have in Beam. It would come in fifth wheel and logging crane variants, and it could also crush a regular-sized car no problem. It would also have a diesel V12 engine behind the cab, being the first vehicle in-game to have an engine configuration larger than a V8.

    EDIT 12/1/19:

    4) A Piccolina-Based Van/Pickup

Reason: As the D-series and H-series are too large to navigate on some of Italy's roads, what better than this cute little, Piccolina-based utility vehicle? It wouldn't take that long to make, because it shares its running gear with the Piccolina. It would come in van and pickup variants, and would handle better than it's American counterparts.

    5) A British Compact Economy Car

    Reason:
Beam really lacks British cars, so this would make a great choice. The car would be mostly based on the Mini Clubman, but with some Honda N360 styling cues thrown in. It would make a fun companion car with the Autobello, and it would have lots of racing heritage, from rallying to dirt racing, and even high-performance factory variants. Pickup body style is mandatory. Bonus points for a twin-engine AWD version: https://www.lanemotormuseum.org/collection/cars/item/austin-twini-mini-replica-1965

(more will probably come when I have time)

Just for the sake of discussion here, why the oddly specific soviet vehicles? A microcar is far from iconic and I doubt it would see any use, as is the Pigeon is only used as an alternative to the soccer ball half the time. As for the 8x8, I think that's far too niche. I would love an HD truck, but a heavily modified T-Series would be less niche and less work.

So if anyone's still reading this thread, I decided to tally it all up.

Crossovers are the most popular, with 12 requests. However, they were really divided - half were for a modern one, spread between a compact one and a midsize one, both from the normal and luxury fields, and half of the commenter wanted an older ones, with 3 of those being for an 00s US one.

Then there's the minivan, with 9 requests found by me, but the opinion on what sort of car it should be is more divided. 2/3s of these were for an US-sized one, divided between 80s, 90s and 10s, and 3 for an 00s European compact one.

Then we have 6 requests for a 50s/60s European high-end sports car. However, they are about equally divided between wanting an Italian one, a British one and a German one.

Now we have a segment with four more-or-less uniform suggestions - late 00s/early 10s American fullsize sedan, mainly based on the modern Dodge Charger.

We also have a similar amount of suggestions for an older communist car (mainly like the Lada Classic series), a 4-cylinder mid-engined car (mostly like a Pontiac Fiero), any modern medium-duty truck, either US or European, and a 30s low-priced American car (both early 30s and late 30s, with those having 2 votes each).

Besides that, there were three people wanting a 70s fullsize personal luxury US car (and one wanting one from the 50s), three wanting an 00s Japanese compact hybrid and three wanting an 80s European economy car (all mentioning the Peugeot 205 as a desired influence).

Great thanks to all the 60s pop/rock bands Spotify was playing to me while I was writing this.
