Gavril D-Series addon 0.8.4

First of all, great mod! Just a few picky things I have noticed - Really horrible camber on twin I-beam front suspension, regardless of settings/configs. Flareside wheel arches are not mapped for skins, Overheating issues, like BAD! (suggestion ahead) An "oldstyle" cut hood for supercharger scoops? And what happened to the derby parts?

 

Haven't yet had time to put together a list of issues, although I should mention that the oldstyle spotlights have no texture without the American Fullsize mod installed.

 

It's weird to see a Ford F150 with a Chevy front, and I freaking love it! I would change the cab if possible, to make it a bit boxier. Other than that, I think it's perfect.

 

Hi the new old style parts and truck pack that you made is awesome looking but, I have cleared the cache as well as disabled ALL mods but the new old style parts mod, but when I load one of the old style trucks, there is severe model tearing, as well the tailgate falls off with the bumper on loading, and when I choose a regular pickup, and go into the parts manager and choose a different frame with the body lift option, the truck totally 100% disappears and the game pauses and says press "J" to unpause and it's screwed until I reload!!?? Please help.

I'm running version 0.18 of the game

 

Hello this mod It's looking Very good. But i can't use rollback. I can't see tailgate keybinds selection. Please help

 

You may have a conflicting mod. Run safe mode, enable only this mod, and see if the tailgate binding shows up. Oh, and don't forget to clear cache.

 

1) I have an old dash, but the original dash (just like the third brake light) is harcoded in the cab jbeams. The only way I can solve that is to copy 99.9% and leave that single line of code out. That's not maintainable.
2) The station was a last minute addon. I'll look into it.

No, not yet, I've some ideas for it but I'll try to update the current mods first.

1) I've added customizable camber for a next update
2) the flareside arches are mapped, but it difficult to map it over the existing map due to its different shape. I can make another map for it (requires work) but then every skin needs a special map for the flaresides...
3)Which configs are overheating? I don't have this issue...
4) Maybe some time
5) If I have to update every part it will take forever. I had to make a judgement. (is this proper English )

That's weird, I do not have this issue, nor do I have the olds installed. What is the error you get? (press ~ to enter and exit the console)

There's even a bit of International Pickup in it
A boxier cab is an idea, but requires quite some work...

I have some ideas for an update:

1) An camper upfit for the XL and Standard frames.
2) A ambulance upfit for the XL frame.
3) A 6x6 frame.

I think those updates would be awesome. ^^

 

And a 4th: An XL 6x6 frame. Like a Chevy Kodiak/GMC Topkick

 

hey as a suggestion have you ever thought of having the Moonhawks grille as an option for the oldstyle front fascia

 

1) Awesome sauce! just what it needs.
2) Not really worth it for such a little part then?
3) No config in particular, just the 423CI engine overheats rather quickly.(Or I just drive them too hard

No, it happens to me too. Also, the headlights don’t break.

 

Good catch. I'll look into it. It's weird, there is only one headlight jbeam and flexbody. (except for the wigwags). Maybe there is some conflicting part in one of the configs.

Is there, or will there be, a 5th wheel upfit?

 

If you download AR162B´s trailer mod, you will get a 5th wheel for the D-series

 

There's a gooseneck towhitch for the D-series in that mod, no fifth wheel upfit.

In my (currently outdated) H-series addon mod there is fifth wheel upfit that can be (when updated) ported to the D-series.
'Unfortunatly' I uploaded a update yesterday (it is awaiting approval), I don't think most users and the devs will like it when I upload a 30+MB update for 18.5k subscribers a day after the last one.

I'll put it on the 'Ideas and known issues' on the first page, and when I have got some time update the parts and put it in a future update.

Suggestion: please make the fan on the classic V8 rotate. Otherwise, one of the best D-Series mods out there!
