0.19 Discussion thread | Use Safe Mode before reporting

The screenshot I provided made in version 0.18.4... and it working. I don't need to move the window around it enough for me that the window be fixed.

 

the thumnail generator creates _ann and _li thumbnails for seemingly no reason

 

The "improved" ESC and TCS are not even able to pass a diagonal roller test

 

Boi you're using the Sunburst and the 800, both of those don't have the new system

 

Would it be possible to have the resolution size option back in the thumbnail generator? I much prefer to have high res 1920x1080 thumbnails at least for looks, current size looks a bit rubbish anywhere outside of the menu. Can't seem to find any options for that elsewhere (and neither can anyone I've asked).
Edit: Maybe the reg plate option too? Would be nice to have whatever text on there still, and would be an oppotunity to fix the bug that sets the plate to the default (steam name/randomly generated) when the first config that has it's thumbnail taken is the one spawned in when the generator is started/

edit 2: i've found out the old thumbnail generator is still ingame but still would be nice to see those features added to the new one too

 

There is a vibration issue when the 2.0 I4 gasoline engine is coupled to the 6-speed sequential transmission in the Vivace

 

I love the new cars but i think i need a new PC to handle them. my Pc is a bit lagging when I spawn up the vivace/tograc. Is there any way to avoid this?

 

the first crash I have had since I rebuilt my pc January 2019

I was playing normally, with about 7 vehicles spawned, a brick wall and the rollover test thing.

the game suddenly froze and I got a status heap corruption error. I have a feeling it was unable to read some files as I could hear my 5-year-old wd blue 1tb revving up. i have no crash reports for some reason as well.

I am, however, going to reinstall the game on my nvme ssd as I think the HDD is set to go to sleep after 20 minutes. this might be the issue.

the more think about it actually, the game lags a bit, then i hear the hdd revving up and then it stops lagging

anyway, what are your thoughts?

 

That's what I immediately assumed, but I disabled all of my mods, even going as far as taking them out of my mods folder and onto my desktop momentarially, and it still did the same thing.

 

This issue existed since at least 0.18, and it carried on to the 0.19 update as well



I limit the steering as it's impossible to make smooth inputs with a gamepad without this setting turned on. Problem is, it applies to AI-driven cars as well, making them constantly understeer and drive off the road/into one another (this occurs both in Traffic mode and scenarios):



Also, it would be nice to be able to turn on the headlights on traffic cars for realistic night driving

 

The new clutch behavior is a bit irritating, when off roading or rock climbing in a vehicle with manual transmission it is sometimes necessary to use the brakes and throttle at the same time to have better control and a smoother drive.

As it is now the clutch engages and the engine revs freely with the slightest use of the brakes.

 

I agree with you. It's super irritating and I'm trying to revert back to the old system. Did you find a way to turn it off?

Two issues I noticed with the newest update:

1) When using an AWD electric Cherrier and equipping it with Rally Independent Suspension the rear electric motor disconnects.

2) The Texas number plate has been removed for some reason...

 

How do you get rid of the showroom tools window? I click on the X but nothing happens!

 

Can we please get a slider to adjust this or possibly turn this off completely? I would like to turn this feature off as I find its behavior very strange. It sometimes gets stuck and constantly presses the clutch and I just sit there hitting the rev limiter until I tap the brake.

 

Tiny rocks in Utah are now hollow. Marauder's army paint symbol, whatever it is (half of stylized Signal Corps insignia? Low speaker volume?), is off set L/R.

Yes i think that might be helpful and somewhat more realistic, when doing this in a real car you would only apply a little brake while using the throttle.
Obviously using the brakes and throttle 100% at the same time would result in stalling the engine or burning out the clutch.

Maybe it is possible with another gearbox mode in addition to arcade and realistic, like semi-realistic where the clutch only engages while changing gears like the old system?.
