with the new minor update the d series parts menu closes all tabs you've opened in the parts menu when you change a part. please fix
Hello Since v0.20. When I record a crash with the replay function and watch the crash immediately after. The windows, windshield and some parts of the cars were broken before the crash. I put a link below to a video, showing the problem. This happens with all vehicles in the game, I cleared the cache, while the video is playing the game is running in safe mode and no mod is installed.
Hi everyone! After a long day of bugfixing, we just released a kind of silent hotfix to prevent people having issues with the game not working. These are the changes for BeamNG.drive-0.20.1.1.10545: Fixed ModManager breaking under weird conditions (we introduced this bug in 0.20.1) If the vehicle loading crashes, it will show the problem now Fixed partManager crashing when props were missing Fixed missing props or "Hide steering wheel" breaking all props Pickup: updated thumbnails Hope everything is working as it should now. We just spent the entire 14 hour working day on bugfixes and we'll go home at midnight now Thanks for your awesome support and feedback in helping us catching the problems in time
So I've decided to make a video, since the crashing sounds still aren't working correctly even after the hotfix. It's a comparison between the new update and an older build of the game (tested in safe mode too). Devs please take a look.
Just did the update. The Bluebuck Taxi is spawning with thin white wall tires but the thumbnail is showing blackwalls. For the period, taxi cabs would have had blackwalls like the thumbnail. Similarly, the Burnside Taxi should have blackwall tires, too. Additionally, AI traffic is coming to a stop at some intersections where they don't have a stop sign and they're not turning. It's happened here in Italy with the tan car stopping:
That's very weird behavior implemented in 0.20. Personally I think that's bad while no correct AI logics anyway (and it don't "improved" but contraversa).
It's really frustrating that now in vehicle customization, everytime I change something that is a branch (or subtree), it closes all the trees that I opened, and opening again evey tree it's getting very annoying. Altough I found a (kinda) solution, and is to uncheck apply changes automatically, but It would be much better if it changes automatically and just kept all the opened trees. Not really a bug, but a quality of life thing that I would love to be "fixed" on the next silent hotfix or the next standard hotfix.
I think somebody else mentioned this as well but is it possible to make the "automatic thumbnail" function optional? I had a configuration that had a nice thumbnail picture and when I went to change one little detail and then saved it, it overwrote the previous picture. I went from a Hopper with a really nice Utah sunset background to a Hopper in a strip mall parking lot. I probably have a backup of the original picture someplace but it would be nice to have a switch to turn off the feature. Maybe default = off?
Ditto on this. It was fine in the initial .20 update but the hotfix seems to have broke it. It's just made more insulting that the apply changes option doesn't even persist after you close the game. Hell, it doesn't even persist after a vehicle change. God yes. I find it obnoxiously distracting. Now for two things I've found: 1. Since the .20 update, the Steam name license plate option no longer seems to work for the car you spawn in with initially. 2. Since the hotfix, brake squeal doesn't work. EDIT: another thing I've noticed when using the I6/Diesel: the spare dark spot on the muffler
I don't know if this has been reported, but in the parts menu, the whole dropdown collapses when you choose a new part, this is extremely frustrating. Cheers.
this is a small issue, but these race exhaust manifolds are long tube headers i told you it was small
.pc configuration files now save the license plate number along with the parts and paint color, so if you have a custom default vehicle with a license plate number other than your Steam username, it will always spawn with that number.
