I actually can't explain how to do it. I've done it a long time ago, and all I remember is what of a pain in the a** it was.

    Hi @correcohone :)
I am sorry to take so long to give you an answer, but I am extremly busy with the university currently. I did not have the time to test the result of this tutorial in BeamNG, so I can't say if it really work :(
    • Build and export your ‘’stock’’ Automation car with a standard exhaust.
    • Create and export a new ‘’alternative’’ variant of your car, without mufflers.
    • Unzip your two cars, see the ‘’Preparation’’ part of the tutorial.
    • Open the .JBEAM file corresponding to the engine for both car:
    • Copy this: ["Exhaust","Exhaust_stock", "Exhaust"], then add it in the ‘’slot’’ subcategory of the engine of your stock engine:
    • Download and open this .JBEAM parts file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AY6nQA1M_UZ3ATwrQcdS7-wEi-HlEFoW/view?usp=sharing
    • In the engine .JBEAM file with the stock exhaust, use the shortcut ’’Ctrl+f’’ to open the search window, and then, research "sampleName":
    • Copy the complete ‘’soundConfig’’ subpart:
    • Use it to replace the ‘’soundConfig’’ subpart of the stock exhaust in the part file:
    • Delete the complete ‘’soundConfig’’ subpart of the engine.
    • Do the same thing using the engine .JBEAM file with the straight pipe exhaust, replace the the ‘’soundConfig’’ subpart of the straight pipe exhaust in the part file.
    • Copy the complete content of the parts file, and paste it in the engine .JBEAM file with the stock exhaust, after the engine part, and just before the transmission part:
    • Save the engine .JBEAM file with the stock exhaust, you can close the 2 others .JBEAM file without saving
    • Go back to the main folder of your 2 cars:
    • Copy the ‘’art’’ folder of the ‘’alternative’’ variant of your car, and merge it with the ‘’art’’ folder of your ‘’stock’’ variant in the main folder of your ‘’stock’’ variant
    • Select the 2 folders in the main folder of your ‘’stock’’ variant and compress them:
    • If the sound with the straight pipe exhaust is too loud, you can adjust it following the ‘’tune the engine sound volume’’ of the tutorial.
    • You can create a configuration by following the part ‘’add a configuration to your mod’’
I really hope it works correctly :)

I don't have the time to work on a real mod, so I will stay with my Automation cars, and I will continue trying to improve them

The way I said that makes it sound like I don’t like what’s going on here, I really do! I wouldn’t know how to do any of this stuff and I appreciate it. Just wanted to make that clear

Yeah it did come off pretty rude to me!

Anyways what TheCrySick does here is unmatched in my opinion nobody else wants to do it, because they are lazy and lack the skills. Nobody else does what he does with the work ethic he has either. The man is a machine and I have nothing but respect for him. You should take notice

You know, he is aware he has misspoke, so there is no need to be rude at him in return ;)

But I feel quite embarrassed with your post tbh. If I work on this tutorial, it's simply because I want to share what I learn with everyone. And I am not the only one to do that. For example, @DaddelZeit spend way more time than me helping people, and he probably knows way more thing than me

    Hi! :)

I have spent a lot of time answering to this question: https://www.beamng.com/threads/torquecurve-explanation.74300/

Knowing how to edit the torque curve of an engine is not the most useful thing for Automation cars, but I don’t want to see all the work I have put in my answer disappear, so I have chosen to add it to this tutorial as an off topic part

Didn't mean to be rude ! lol. carry on

It doesn't take too much time to do it! For example, I take only arround 10min to add an electric engine :)
This is the goal of this tutorial. I wanted to share with everyone a way to easily and quickly improve your automation exported cars ;)

Thanks for your help mate! Because of my classes, I don't have the time to do the modifications for other guys. But if you can do it, it would be awsome! If there is anything wrong, I will try to help you :)
