By this logic the 200BX police config would have to be deleted because it's a coupe. It would be cool to have a Moonhawk sedan though, I can imagine that in real life it would be an option, it's not a muscle or a pony car so it doesn't make sense to restrict it to the 2 door option only imo
When I mentioned referencing the Moonhawk with LeGran trim levels I didn't mean the Moonhawk lineup should turn into the LeGran, just that they should feel like cars from the same manufacturer and relatively close in model year. Maybe share a special edition nameplate or something, have similar structure in offerings, etc... As I mentioned, the LeGran's transfer case is one very small step towards a possible RWD platform distant cousin (yes I know a longitudinal V8 FR car would share almost nothing with the LeGran, I'm just saying the suggestion is there); that would be a great later gen Moonhawk. I was taking inspiration from the Cutlass, which was on the FR A-Body platform and in '73-'77 is a Moonhawk counterpart, and that nameplate later got split into both the FF A-Body (LeGran counterpart) and at the same time an FR A/G-Body
The 200BX police car shouldn't exist because it is highly unrealistic. Not many US police departments use cars from foreign brands and almost none use 2 door cars. --- Post updated --- Also having a non-factory turbocharger does not make sense because police agencies keep their cars as close to stock as possible for reliability reasons.
I wouldn't like it to be removed, it's cool to have a pretty fast Japanese sports car in a police force of a tiny town, it just adds some sort of character to Firwood, along with the different liveries from different eras
So, could you tell me, politely, and not impolitely, how can i see how you find these things? Thank you
Eh just plop a lightbar on the legan and make a police config out of it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Just like an older car for belasco
I don't think it should be removed either, I am just saying that it shouldn't become the norm. Oddball police cars are great, but only if it isn't common.
perhaps the 200BX was some tuner’s impounded car, which could explain the aftermarket turbo situation. they then just put their own livery on the car and used it as some show car or something? I think there was another car IRL that got the same treatment, which is where I get my idea from.
Impound cars can end up as undercover units, I'm not aware of any department that uses them as patrol cars though
I know a couple agencies have used impounded vehicles as marked/unmarked patrol vehicles, and as community relations cars. There is somewhat of a correlation with low department funding and higher likelihood to use an impounded vehicle for patrol use from what I've seen.
Maybe. They're probably smart and reasonable enough not use such an expensive car for a task that'll most likely kill it on it's first day in action. It wouldn't work as undercover car either, R8's aren't car's that just fly under the radar like that. Anyway I was thinking about that picture of the Legran wagon, and it kinda looked like an offroad/touring spec. Reminded me of the AMC Eagle: If that's the direction they're going, assuming that it's even official content, that'd be pretty cool as there aren't any Cross-Wagons, not even an allroad-type version of the ETK 800, which I find odd. The closest thing to that market are maybe like 2 Tograc configs but the Tograc is a full crossover.
It looks like a "What if the big 3 tried to compete with the Eagle" and as weird as it is (and we still don't officially know anything about it, other than the lifted suspension/transfer case/wagon JBeam in game), I am very excited for it. Old attempts at 4x4 passenger cars can be cool (Looking at you Vemco V-Drive) and there are some really cool custom Eagles out there. One of the things I'm most looking forward to in Beam once we get a proper economy is Top Gear/Motortrend style cheap car/truck challenges, and this will be an awesome choice for a quirky off road build
I think that beamng merch is the only merch im ready to buy, please the humanity need this (don't forget my high quality NO TEXTURE mug concept)
