yes i have dummy, i just thought it would be an outback bc my brain wasnt working and thought the legran was from the late 90s xD
While I certainly hope for and believe we need some Swedish stuff, I would be shocked to see the "Jargl" name officially. As a name it just doesn't fit the style of the current vehicle team's work at all. I pray the Jargl Squit never sees the light of day. *shudders* Speaking of the mystery Bruckell... I assume it's strongly inspired by the Eagle, the model years line up and it's not like there's too many options for inspiration for this. I know there is the transfer case slot in the parts selector, so I assume it's a fairly standard drive train in there. But for speculation sake, it is worth noting that Chevy was interested in making a 4x4 wagon back in the 1970's using a V-Drive. Although that proposal predates the Legran/Eagle by about a decade, Vemco was doing V-Drive van conversions into the 80's. So the timelines do have a bit of overlap. Like I said, I'm sure the all-terrain LeGran is pretty standard (as much as it can be at least...) without any weird V-Drive shenanigans, it's just something worth noting for the conversation.
(original pictures by @MisterKenneth in 2017) I was going through some old forum posts - looking for my last attempt at an offroad Bolide, when I stumbled across these. Would anyone care to speculate on the tow truck again? Now that the rollback wrecker is in-game, and the D-series was revolutionized by the long bed, what do we think the odds are that the conventional tow truck might make it in, even though the 3D asset was removed from the game? With working winches beginning to become feasible in mods, I think there's a slim chance. I don't think it's likely myself, but the part is just so cool-looking that I find myself holding out hope against hope. (does anyone have a saved copy of the 3D asset?)
The tow truck won't be a thing until we have proper dedicated rope physics. So probably we still have to wait years for it, it's far from a priority.
The Volvo 850 had a Delta-Link rear suspension, which essentially would compress longitudinal rubber bushings when under load (i.e. if you were turning into a right-hand curve, the rear left bushing would compress thus turning the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front) I just thought that AWS (or a similar system) wasn't getting enough love; my default vehicle in Beam is an AWD and AWS Pessima.
Yeah. They did have one in RoR I think, so it would be homage to that if they had one. But at the same time, I wouldn't really want anything but a walking dummy and even then it might not suit the game.
On the topic of the Soliad Wendover and its dash, if it is digital it would be nice to give a nod to the Reatta(and to a greater extent the 1986 Buick Riviera which was the first car to get a touchscreen) in the form of its rather state-of-the-art ECC[electronic control center]in some form albeit non functional. Now about the suspension of the wendover, I have a feeling that Soliad wouldn't just go for simple springs and average shocks on their techy car I think that they would go for air suspension much like the Chryslers and some Buicks of the era but thats just speculation and wishful thinking. On the other topics like the legran wagon, it would be interesting since with my limited knowledge on the vehicle I really don't know of many 80's American front wheel drive station wagons since the really the only fwd wagon I know of is the ford escort and typically most 80's station wagons are full size sedans just with a lengthened body for more trunk space and third row seating and maybe if necessary a slightly longer frame, of course all of those are as far as I know are rwd or awd in terms of the eagle which is regarded as the first crossover. Also I', just going to throw these out here as little side things to argue over, since i see them all over youtube with the civics and large trucks usually kenworths, Drag covet and tractor pull T-series.
Initially i thought the air suspension was likely as well, but considering it appears to have a GM style transverse leaf system, that may not be happening.
Damm. But you never know, maybe we see here a base model. Maybe air suspension is for the luxury models
I kinda figured that but it would be nice. I don't know about you but if it was to happen I would love to see a beater config with the notorious "rear suspension sag" that all 80's cars with air suspension seem to have with the seals rotting out.
Maybe we gonna have a config with Magnetic suspensions. The body of the grand marshall would be perfect since it's similar with the one used by bose in their test, although it would maybe be a little bit difficult to implement since there is not a lot of document about it.
alternatively, electromagnetic suspension has been used in modern rolls-royces. However, this technology is probably far too advanced for the time period of the wendover, even on that LS400 which is about a decade newer, it was retrofitted. If the wendover were to get some abnormal suspension setup, it would make a lot more sense to have an airbag, or even a hydropneumatic system.
https://www.beamng.com/threads/development-media.24313/page-4#post-1279033 I'm not exactly sure what this is, just a meme, or anything we can speculate.
Nadeox1 said: placeholder thumbnails bye, so that means... Soliad is done and they are making thumbnails?
I hope we get a meme mode like NFS Most Wanted Pepega Edition. Having a checkbox that enables all the placeholder thumbnails and some other shitposty things in game would be majestic. I guess that developement on the Wendover is in frozen and now they are working out bugfixes and finishing what other content for the update. Maybe we will see a release in a month or so?
