Use the updated version called Shader Overhaul https://www.beamng.com/threads/shader-overhaul-graphics-mod.81352/ What is this? It is not another Reshade preset or PostFX preset. It's an new tonemap shader. It uses the same tonemap used in Gran Tourismo. By default BeamNG.drive uses the Uncharted tonemap for converting HDR data which is not everyone's cup of tea because it tends to deliver a very flat image if it is not specially adjusted. This tonemap brings a more saturated and vivid, but still not overblown, image compared to default. I personally think it looks much more natural. Problems Possible slight FPS hit Comparison Screenshots Installation 1. Close BeamNG.Drive. 2. Copy the "shaders" folder from "GT_sport_Tonemap" zip file to BeamNG documents folder. 3. Delete "temp" folder from BeamNG documents folder. 4. Start BeamNG. 5. Enjoy the new tonemap! Uninstallation 1. Close BeamNG.Drive. 2. Delete "shaders" folder from BeamNG documents folder. 3. Delete "temp" folder from BeamNG documents folder. 4. Start BeamNG.
Hey @Travarmojsije , personally i like this tonemap ALOT! Ive been using ACES (ACES fit, for those that dont know ACES its often used in Unreal Engine's later releases for example) for my tonemap+more mod for a good while but this is really a natural, good looking tonemap. I took the liberty of making a mashup of your (Uchimuras to be exact) tonemap and my level and sun/sky color changes. Its a really nice mashup. Did adjust the sun color at midday slightly from my AL13 sun gradient. About that bloom youve mentioned, i think thats solved itself so to speak, bloom isnt working anymore/is undergoing migration to something the devs are cooking afai can tell. The square problem ive addressed a few times in my old threads, it was due to one of the settings, dont remember which one atm, that was limited in max value. Id really like to have brightness adaption working again, its settings were way to sensitive before, to high max value afaik which lead to it not being possible to adjust it to suit Anyways, nice job getting this tonemap in the game!
Thanks @Brother_Dave for the kind words. Coming from you it really means a lot! I was experimenting with ACES but didn't quite like the look so I stumbled upon Uchimuras tonemap which fit my needs perfectly. Bloom was something that was bothering me for a while, but fixing it was beyond my abilities. Im glad you managed to incorporate it into AL. Screenshots look amazing. Btw feel free to use it in AL.
