Since the newer race cars in game have been to a much higher standard, we may as well discuss what race cars we could see coming up. I don't know much about IRL race classes so please do add to/correct for those who know more about this stuff Side note, I'd love to see more race skins. While a couple cars in game do have alternate liveries, it's not something they all have and I don't really look forward to having races where every car is a recolor of the same livery. Spoiler: Baja/Off Road I know there's some people on the forums and on the dev team who are really into this sorta stuff so I'm not going to bother getting too deep into SCORE regulations, but there are a couple that I'd like to mention specifically. There are three SCORE classes for Volkswagen bugs, two of which the Piccolina could reasonably fit into a BeamNG equivalent. I imagine the current Baja Piccolina is probably pretty close to class 5-1600 (other than having a 1.5L instead of a 1.6L). Class 11 is a stock production class where only minor modifications are allowed (Rules: http://score-international.com/raceinfo/rule-book/car-buggy-classes/class-11/) There's a bunch of SCORE classes for trucks, and we already have the superbuild. But one of my big complaints with the superbuild is that we never got something that is to the pre-runner what the pig is to the super pig. I'd love to see an off-road racer that is closer to the stock truck than the superbuild. I imagine there's several SCORE classes that could be applied to the D10, D15. Roamer, and Hopper. Spoiler: Stock Cars NASCAR regulations currently aren't available to the public for whatever reason. I'm not sure if historical regulations are available... Gen 1: 1948 - 1966. Mostly or completely stock depending on the source. Some sources say that rear axles were swapped. I guess the Bluebuck is already to spec, which just leaves the '53 Special in need here. Gen 2: 1967--1980: Modified frames with stock bodies. Notably includes the aero-wars in 1969/1970. I'm not sure if the Barstow would fit in the IRL regulations, but it is similar to two of the aero cars: The Torino and the Cyclone. Then of course there is the Moonhawk. Since these would require a modified frame, we could see a sportsman/modifieds car to accompany it. Gen 3: This is where things pretty much cease to be related to the base car. It would be really cool to see a Wendover stock car of this era, but it would basically be 99% a ground up new vehicle. Spoiler: Group GT and such A 6 cylinder SBR and a V8 K-Series could definitely fit in here. Maybe even the Bastion as the Cadillac ATS was in GT3 as well. I think that would be a really interesting trio to see going head to head to head. Then there's the I-Series, which already has a not-DTM config that could use updating to the Pessima Touring Car standards. I imagine an IMSA 240BX would share about as much with the 240BX as a gen 3 stock car would with the Wendover, but I'm mentioning it anyway because we could really use some silhouette racers to go up against the group 5 Bolide. Spoiler: Rally Along with updating the older rally cars and giving the I-Series something that could trade blows with the Group 4 Bolide, I'd love to see a rally spec SBR. For those about to say it's an unrealistic idea, refer to the Cayman GT4 rally car. Then there's the Miramar, which doesn't have one already for whatever bizarre reason. Spoiler: Drag Racing Being that drag racing is one of the few forms of motorsport that are actually fairly developed in game I really think we need to see more content for drag racing sooner rather than later (high altitude drag racing track please? That would be a big change to which vehicles are competitive compared to the basically-sea-level Belaso motorsport park and Italy airstrip). There's a lot of classes here but a few I think are important to hit on. A/FX: The historical factory experimental resulted in some really weird stuff. Acid dipped bodies, altered wheelbases (well, Dodge tried to get those in at least), and so on. I'd love to see something in game with the twin-duct intake that Mercury used on their 427 Comet. Gas/Nostalgia Gasser/Streak Freaks: Do I really need to explain this one? Unlimited: All I want is twin 88mm turbos with a fiberglass front end and tubbed rear end on all of our vintage American cars, is that too much to ask for? I'm just going to refer to this old comment I made about everything the T-Series can get, since has a few possible racing configs and all of them are limited to the T65/75.Click here --- Post updated --- They've been trying to get on a quarterly update cycle, so we should see a Spring update.
vote down which car(s) you think will be remastered in the next update! 1. Moonhawk 2. Sunburst 3. 200BX 4. Miramar 5. DT40L 6. Barstow 7. Covet 8. K-series 9. 800- series 10. im sorry if i forgor some cars, my brain is the size of a rice grain.
Modifieds is an oval racing class. There's a lot of different classes including legends, asphalt modifieds, and superDirt car. Late Model Sportsman was a short track NASCAR class, Hemmings had a short article you can read here AFAIK in the 1970's the NASCAR modifieds and sportsman classes were both basically caged ladder frames with chopped up bodies, not the purpose built tube frame cars that they are today. So I believe if we see a Moonhawk stock car, we'd need a caged frame and be halfway to one of these anyway.
I’m clearly gonna say that the Moonhawk, Sunburst and 200BX are in a dire need of a revamp bc clearly the textures on them are wayyyy behind Beamng’s current standards
In order… 1. ETK 800 and K series - lacking in content and has weird deformation 2. Moonhawk - very dated model 3. 200bx - also dated, could use more aftermarket
The Previa is mid-engined, AWD, and supercharged lmao If that doesn't count as interesting, I don't know what does You haven't the foggiest idea what you're talking about
Just had an idea… with the bolide remaster, the internal name for it was changed from super to bolide. This got me thinking, what if there is a reason they did this? Maybe they have plans for another super car so the internal name “super” would cause some confusion. Thoughts?
I don't think they would give a new car, named lets say the Taildragger. I don't think they would code name it super. It would have to be called super in the actual game. like civetta super..
unsure on what i did --- Post updated --- because honestly, im not begging the devs to do it its just something i would want to see in future updates.
I don't think you did anything, it's just that the speculation is very detached from reasoning so it can get annoying. For example: "I think the Devs will revamp the DT40 and make Wentward a train company as well while they're at it. Why do I think this? Simply because Wentward is a brand in-game that isn't often talked about." I hope this helps!
The reason was because there are many terrible quality Russian mods that mess with Bolide files so if they kept the name the same then they would all completely break it now
