The new car likely is much more modern. V12 fell out of favour in mainstream cars because the cost and complexity cant be justified in comparsion to performance orientend smaller engines. Hybrid certainly would be cool but as the devs have said, they are not looking into it anytime soon as the effort required is hard to justify in comparsion to the benefits. Seing that pure electric drivetrains are not finished either, a hybrid would only be half finished at the moment. Finally, with Arcanox great Hybrid mods, it is a going to be challenging to create an even more detailed hybrid system by the devs themselves so one can understand their hesitation. Finally, the grand time of hybrid in cars is coming to an end. With EV getting better every year, it is increasingly hard to justify carrying all that maintainance heavy ICE stuff arround in addition.
I agree. And lame should also be the adjective to describe the VW W12, which consists of two VR6s joined together and the W16, consisting of two Audi V8s (or two VW W8s, I don't know).
My point is that we don't see V3s and V17s either. I mean, where could such engines be used? Sorry for being ironic, I just wanted to drive this point home! edit: Just checked more closely that you meant "V16" instead of "V17"! Strike my V17 point out!
According to this wikipedia article, the Honda V3 engine was usually used in motorcycle racing. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/V3_engine
