So, downloaded BMW's hotfix and it had the nonormal texture issue. Did this Which has stopped that issue, however I am now encountering another one. When I change the colour on the car (other than white) it goes all chromified (like so) Just wondering if there's any way of fixing that cause it's kinda irritating that I can only really have the car white or chrome (thanks to something with beam stuff) Also cleared Cache (Deep Clean) when I installed and deleted the temp folder. (Update: Turns out I also deleted the Layer 1 Normal Map which is what caused that, so fixed it by deleting cache and only deleting the Layer 2 Normal Map )
The PBR for me doesn't load, can anyone help? i have tried deleting the old one and clear cache and deep cleaning a few times, still doesn't work
Go to appdata/local/beamng.drive/0.24/vehicles then find the ae86 folder or any similar name. If you find it, go into the folder and delete the file that's called, "main.materials.json" or something similar like that
It will actually fix the texture, because it's basically like clearing cache. What clearing cache does is it deletes the temp folder (such as material files) so that it refreshes things such as the textures, and deleting the main.materials.json file in the vehicles folder basically does the same
the way i did it was spawn in 86 press f11 (world manager) go to window, find materials manager type in "blackbump" and "Matte__FFFFFFFF__prim_env_12_spec_" and delete ONLY the Layer2 normal map it'll fix that no normal bs
I'm having some texture errors. The texture behind the taillights, the headlights, the keyhole on the trunk, and the radio controls all look yellow. I haven't been able to find a fix for this. I'm using the latest version of the mod
no it's not because the repo doesn't allow mod cars with the same name as the original and the brand name
This mod was created as a replica of AE86, not another car that fits into the game which is based on it. It would become a worse mod if it were made lore friendly. Also schumacher hasn't posted in this thread for almost 2 years so I think it's safe to assume that he has moved on from it.
Are the taillights supposed to be so translucent? When its dark the texture on the taillights appear normally, but in the light i can see some weird sticks underneath the surface. Any fix?
Uhhh i kinda take it back, the similiar file i found is in the old version. I though it fixed it but nevermind, is there another suggestion?
