Horsepower numbers in Beam, Net or SAE?

    Are the horsepower ratings we see displayed in vehicle descriptions and on the dyno UI app in net or SAE?

    They are net, PS is the net unit which is used in game, while Hp is SAE which is unused and we can't really know the raw horsepower. The closest you can get is by removing the exhaust and ECU which is not even possible on all engines.

    Thanks man. I'm trying to compare the power of engines modeled to real ones from the 60s, including Beam modeled on engines from the 60s.
    What I'm saying is, if a mod based on the Chrysler street hemi isn't peaking at 425hp, that's not necessarily a problem is it?

    In the files you have engine crank hp and in game and ui apps you have whp.

    In the files it's not crank hp but theoretical torque of a frictionless engine, and it's way different than what comes out after friction calculations.
