Update Speculation thread

I absolutely agree. Games like Forza are of the casual variety. They're the ones the 12-y-os play for the superficial giggles of street racing without any real-life consequences except for speeding infractions (maybe). No steering feel, no handling/crash/aero models, nothing at all. Just endless drifts at 300km/h, pointless coffee break challenges and pointlessly cartoonish graphics. And better not mention the awful sounds some of them (like Gran Turismo) have for some cars and their modded parts.
A game like BeamNG is totally my cup of tea in every respect.

 

I’ve been doing Forza for over a decade. It used to be really good, but it’s been pretty crap for a couple years now. Fh1, fm4, fh2

I have question for devs but it's other than speculation or new things to game. There is crunch involved in creating update or doing final preparation for launching update ?

 

I mean, i hope there's not, but it's kinda like asking a politician if they are corrupt. Wether he's or not both answers will be "No"

 

Unfortunate that it won't be fixed for 0.25 but from what I've heard it's an absolute pain to fix, good on the team for trying to get it done for 0.26

 

devs need to reach out and get his help implementing that, it's much needed.

You can quite literally see the door handles in this photo with the pocket that’s in the rear quarter panel to put your hand in. Pretty common for these types of cars



OT : Do we think there is a possibility for a Rally config, to both be a throwback to the Bolide rally and similar to the modern RGT rally Class?

 

I'm not saying Forza is better in any way. I've played it and it's become boring, beam is definitely better. But I'm saying it's a game much more suited for DLC rather than BeamNG.

 

Edit: seems you're right about the door handle! It looks like a pretty small cutout though, so God help you when the gas struts fail.

Have you ever played a Forza Horizon game in offline mode? Drivertars crash into you or each other constantly and are generally just really bad at driving (hence the need for extreme rubber-banding in races).

The AI in Beam may not be as advanced but it surely works a whole lot better for what it is.

The devs stated that a hybrid drivetrain is a bit of a mess to code so i don't think they'll make a hybrid car anytime soon, turbo isn't ruled out but i believe it would have been visible in the previous teaser
