Update Speculation thread

I thought you had left these forums for good many, many years ago.

My best guess is that all that is related to the remaster of Jungle Rock Island that has been on the works for the last few years. We've speculated plenty in regards to where it is actually located, and i think at one point the devs might have confirmed that it is an island in the pacific that had heavy japanese influences. Why is it in english? US/British Colony while still being heavily influenced by former Japanese roots, including common cars, and RHD.
Just a guess ofc, but the facts fit.

I thought that was weird too. Hopefully it gets changed in an update

If they ever give the Pessima an RHD version I feel like it'd be a perfect fit for an NZ police paintjob since the Automation map has no police livery

Pretty sure JRI is in Hawaii. And if the land was owned by Japan they'd still put Japanese text on the car since that's their national language, the English on their police cars is just for tourists.

 

And 200BX ! 200BX as US Police is so bad, they need to change it.

Also my opinion on remastering cars:
I think devs don't remaster 200BX, Pessima MK1, T-Series and Sunburst because they love them. If they start remastering them we will be waiting more than 6 months on updates because devs are nerdy same as we are so deeping into JDM super fun cars or super fun T-Series will suck them into loop hole of creating and having fun. So 6 months or more same as Scintilla...

 

The last page or so has been a reminder that I need to sit down and write out my big list of T-series update suggestions before the first signs of it being worked on show up. I should get on that as quickly as possible - I've been putting it off for too long.

 

It would appear we are getting a Class 5 buggy.

So, they refreshed the headlights of the older pessima. Makes sense, it is pretty good for the current standard.
But while they did make the 200bx interior pbr, they didn't fix the flat headlights or other blatant issues. So my theory is that the next vehicle that will be remastered is the 200bx, and they will reuse the current interior textures for it.

I would say the moonhawk too. There have been a few minor changes such as new shifters and taillights as well as PBR interior.

 

We can very safely assume whatever remasters are released in the coming updates will have openable doors, hoods, and trunks, and, similarly, for the rest of the vehicles to receive said feature.
On a quick side note, I don't ever think there will be an official vehicle that will TRULY contest the sheer feature count or wackiness that the Gavril Vertex has.
