Yeah I'm pretty sure it's just the files that got leak with the last update. They are giving the Autobello a buggy config? Does that mean there's gonna probably mean a Autobello remaster is coming? I just can't wait for the update!
We don't know if it's an early build of the buggy we have seen in teaser where the devs just use the Piccollina as a test bed and it isn't just a version of that car or if it's really a buggy version of it (or like you said an Autobello buggy). My guess is more on the first option.
That Piccolina buggy explains a lot. The teasers show 2 buggies - one based on the Piccolina, and one speculated to be SBR4-based. I think that the Piccolina one will be limited to 2WD, and will not be as powerful or tough as the bigger, 4WD capable SBR4 buggy. This makes sense as the SBR4 is 4WD capable and has more power, which is needed to move more weight and spin larger tires. The fact that we also saw a SFA and IFS version of the SBR4 buggy helps prove this, since it would lend itself well to either a crawler or higher speed rig.
The Piccobuggy could also be its own vehicle, like the trophy truck and XTV. A significant addition doesn't necessarily mean a remaster - the Hopper got a Crawler version three years ago, yet it didn't get remastered to go with the crawler.
Yeah true. God, pls remaster the Hopper in the near future if you going with the offroad theme. It looks soooo outdated.
I3 as factory stock engine sounds likely since we already got the sound. Someone suggested a while ago, that it could be petrol electric. You have an petrol engine driving a generator and then electric motors driving the wheels/drivetrain. Not sure on what sources that idea is based on, but certainly sounds like an interesting concept.
I think the other buggy was meant to be ULTRA 4 car. ULTRA 4 car are both crawler and desert runner in one package. Usually it is powered by a V8.
we know for a fact that the piccolina buggy is under the standard piccolina, as the leaked version was.
Oh, alright, makes sense. I was just suggesting that as a possibility, since we've seen so many non-road-legal separate vehicles teased in this update. I'm absolutely fine with the Piccobuggy being part of the standard Picco tree.
As of right now, the oldest non-remastered vehicle in the game is the Moonhawk, although technically, the Grand Marshal hasn't received a full remaster (still needs better textures, especially for its headliner). The devs have tended towards remastering a vehicle along with releasing a new vehicle of a similar type (Grand Marshal/Bluebuck, LeGran/Wendover, Pigeon/Wigeon), but they've also released remasters as practically independent vehicles ('96 Pessima/H-Series, Covet). Remasters also tend to be teased quite a lot before the update that they're released in - which makes sense, as lots of people are excited to see this vehicle or that vehicle get remastered. The K-Series (our current "remaster focus") has received a grand total of one teaser, and seeing as absolutely none of the current vehicles are ETKs or track-themed, I don't think the K-Series remaster will be released in 0.27. Especially not so close to release - if last Tuesday's teaser had been about the K-Series, then I'd say it would've had a chance, but no. I also suggested a while ago that the XTV could get a fully-electric drivetrain, like the Argo Atlas EV. That could be interesting, and a good way to expand the EV roster.
