I just had a couple of ideas about drag racing. 1) On the Automation Test Track map, there's the airport of the Kurupae Aero Club and its landing strip is about as wide as the WCUSA's dragstrip but, most importantly, it is ~900m long from its one turnaround circle to the other, so it can be used for 1/4 mile drag races with a good bit for deceleration after the 400m mark. And the large white lines at each end, used for helping the pilots land their aircrafts, also offer some clearly marked points for positioning the cars at the start line. Plus, there's a nice unpaved return road right next to it. When this map got its remastering with the 0.28 Update, I was kinda surprised its airport didn't get a drag racing update because it can definitely be used as a dragstrip. I think it's best for it to start from the SE part of the map and head to the NW, the 13:55 spawning time this map has is just perfect for the lighting, not to mention that the cars will be facing the setting sun. 2) Some time last year (June 2022, I think), we had a conversation about how quick/fast the Scintilla is on a straight line. One of the devs responded by uploading a video in which we saw the AWD Scintilla GTx literally decimating the RWD Scintilla GTs and the Vivace S 410Q Arsenic from a standstill. The reason why I mention this is because I noticed a tool on the bottom left corner of the video which looks like a master control for controlling more than one cars in an impromptu drag race. The tool has 4 options: "PREPARE", "GO!", "RESET", "RESET + GO!". It would be absolutely useful in BeamNG for setting up drag races wherever and whenever we like. I happened to have had downloaded that video back then, so here you go!
Somehow I never thought about how well this one would work... I was thinking the best HW would be a Bolide, D-series Charro, or SBR4/e-SBR. On the topic of the Bolide/Scintillia, it would be a great way to get around the loss of the Ferrari license nearly 10 years ago, and still have some similar-style cars. They came out with the Pininfarina Battista, which is dang close to a Ferrari casting, but, the Civettas would be so cool too.
I did at least once, and I crashed so hard so fast it actually scared me of drunk driving. Could be a cool preventive scenario though lol
Im being 100% percent honest with ya: 9/10 times when i get hammered i play BeamNG. It so damn funny.
I have done it sometimes, for relaxing a bit further after the beer I drink with my Bratwurst. But I'd also like to do it when I build a simrig because I want to see how it feels.
Somebody correct me if I am misremembering, but didn't one of the staff say that making Vulkan the default renderer was going to be a priority possibly next update?
If you’re a KLJP believer, then Ibishu because Ibishu has srtec which is vtec and Honda made vtec so its obviosuily ibishu but ackchuelly its also hiroshim beucse de hirohi nostril has hitec wich is also vtec so its up to you but clerly KLJP is superriror so get ibihu (Truly the most nerd moment of all time and my condolences to anyone who tried reading this)
I’m thinking Ibishu because of the distinct lack of a flat engine. Also Reece TOTALLY wasn’t talking about my car or anything…
I mean it is reasonable that they’re going to add N to BeamNG, I just don’t know where you got that exactly.
