This mod intends to fill some of the "gaps" in the default semi-trailer lineup. So far it adds tridem axles to the dryvan trailers(In both slidable and spread variants) and a 28 ft 24000L version of the tanker trailer(Also has a B-train variant). Now on the Repo here. Notes: - The sliding axles for the tridem dry-van are slightly glitched - The B-train tanker can get quite jittery when heavily loaded - All tankers if reset with a truck will clip the fifth wheel into the trailer(Mostly fixed in v0.2) Versions: 0.1 - First Release 0.2 - Recolored B-train tanker frame rails, Added front fenders to tanker, Fixed Tanker J-beam(Including the kingpin) 0.3 - Added Rock load option for Dump trailer, Added Roll up rear door for dryvan.
Yeah, it surprised me too especially considering we got a B-train flatdeck. The Canadian in me would not rest until I had a B-train tanker.
Eventually, it will make it to the Repo but I want to at least make the B-train Jbeam less buggy/jittery first.
Is the tanker rear triple axle supposed to be white like this or is this just because its WIP, Great work with this and the t-series expansion pack BTW, can't wait to see what else you will make.
Could you make a triaxle 40ft version for the flatbed trailer and make it so we can add the Dayton/Spyder rims to all trailers including the Dolly? Freighter 40ft Triaxle Flat Top Byrne Triaxle Road Train Dolly
That is because I copied part of the rear frame from the flatbed. Eventually I will alter the texture to match the rest. As for the 40 ft tridem I might eventually try making but much higher priority for me is trying to making a lowboy or drop deck trailer. The Dayton's and tridem dolly do seem interesting so I will definitely look into those. Once I finally get the B-train tanker working smoothly then I will look into those. I'm curious as to where In the world they use B-train vans.Up here in Canada I've only ever seen vans run as an A-trains
Update v0.2: - Added front fenders to tanker trailers - Improved the Tankers Jbeam(Including improvements to the kingpin). This should prevent the trailers from glitching through the fifth wheel on reset. - Added the improved kingpin to a copy of the long tanker body - Recolored the B-train tanker frame to better match the trailer.
Ohhhh, good luck then. This would be the first ever Lowboy and Dropdeck to ever grace BeamNG. --- Post updated --- The triaxle dolly are more meant for heavier Road Trains in Australia. It also helps in spreading the weight so you'll see lots of them in Triple Tanker Set ups. It's mostly seen using the "Rubber Guards" though there other versions with full fledged fenders. Variant with the full fledged fenders The Daytons/Spyders are already in game with the "Demountable Rims" but I don't know why the Devs didn't make it as an option for the trailers and Dolly's. Though there are other versions of it. One with 3-Spoke and another with 5-Spokes. The one in game is based off the 5-Spoke Spyder. (Dayton in the US)
Actually there was a lowboy mod made before though it is well out of date now. https://www.beamng.com/resources/conklin-low-boy-trailer.18543/
Wtf, I didn't notice that. Sad that it doesn't work anymore. But atleast your here and you seem to be aware of the new stuff the Devs bought out to make this an easier endeavor compared to before.
I already said I will look into doing B-train vans. As for dumps I don't want to spend the time making variants of those until the devs give us useful loads to be carried by them.
Modding bloopers makes me feel happy things. --- Post updated --- They really need to fix that. Maybe even just put a flat PNG of rocks or gravel on the dump and call it a day. Right now, it takes so much effort in setting up loads for Dumps as you need to spawn rocks and then lift them up into it.
