Right folks genuinely, what is the latest news in speculation? When i was here last there was a rumored t series remaster with a cement mixer config

 

T series remaster came and went, without a mixer (it will be added later). And people are saying its gonna be a Euro themed update. No teasers yet

 

Thank you kind sir/ma'am, for the genuine reply! a Euro theme does excite me, would love some euro hot hatches and vehicles maybe even a euro map (wishful thinking) would be epic.

So, speculation time. I just noticed that The Hellbox (https://www.beamng.com/members/the-hellbox.398424/) of KissMP fame (https://www.beamng.com/threads/kissmp-new-multiplayer-mod-for-beamng-drive.74514/) is now seemingly part of the BeamNG team! (BeamNG Team banner below the forum avatar, as seen below.) For those who doesn't know, KissMP is a high quality greatly under appreciated multiplayer mod with open source bridge and server software.


What surprised me most about this discovery is that no one else seems to have mentioned it. According to archive.org (https://web.archive.org/web/2023091...p-new-multiplayer-mod-for-beamng-drive.74514/) he was not part of the BeamNG team in september, meaning he was hired recently, long after the mod was released. KissMP is the only mod he has released, as far as I know.

I certainly think and hope this could be a hint of something big to come. Speculate!

KissMP is not actively being developed by him anymore

 

though since he probably laid the groundwork for the KissMP, the devs may have wanted him on the team to lay the foundation for multi-player support, probably meaning the devs are clueless when it comes to multi-player stuffs

and considering he does not have a title under his name, it probably implies a super-secret multiplayer project. just a thought tho

also, seeing the devs chose a KissMP dev vs a BeamMP dev means they're probably going to implement most or all or more features that were in Kiss, that's what I think

That would make sense

"Surprise! Look what we've been working on!"

Considering we saw the leaked multiplayer icon on Beamng.tech, they either couldn't get off the ground and got Kiss on the dev team, or did get it off the ground but had a bunch of problems that the KissMP devs have fixed before

 

I believe that this would be better received than a euro update anyday.
