if I remember corectly, the "8" in t83 is bc the t series is a class 8 truck, so t83 snub nose would be a better name

The twinsteer connector should have a key binding of its own. Also, last time I played, "Alt+A" and "Alt+S" operate the splitter for some reason.

Clear cache and/or reinstall the mod

I know it probably means class 8 but I want the model name to be differentiated from the longer frame trucks so T63 is staying.

No, the T-series is already a clusterfuck of custom inputs I'm not just adding yet another. Before the splitter was setup to use both the range-box and 4x4 toggles. Now it just uses the range-Box toggle for the splitter which frees the 4x4 toggle for the transfer case.

You know, it's an absolute pain to toggle the AWD manually while driving, since doing so disables the controls until you click somewhere else. That's why I requested an extra binding.

Anyway, when is the 0.31 version of this coming to the repo? It's stuck at 0.29 on my side.

Then bind a key or button to the 4x4 toggle key-bind in the regular vehicle controls. The update makes it so that key-bind will now toggle the transfer case.

Also quit asking about when an update will be on repo. When the update is approved on repo it'll be on the repo.

Now that you know how to lock out gears, do you think it would be possible for you to make a 15 speed?

Maybe. I'll have to look up what the ratios and shift logic are for the 15. I've only driven 13 and 18-speed Eaton's before so that's what I put in.

Its pretty much a 10 speed eaton with a splitter that acts as a deep reduction. The deep reduction can only be used when in low range on the range box.

    Update 0.31.1 and 0.31.2
    - Added a 6-speed automatic. This has much taller gears than the 5-speed making it great for highway use. also it works well with the V8. Gearing is based on the Allison 4500
    - Added Truck long block for the 423 V8. This gives much more low-end torque at the expense of peak power and RPM.

Alright, I get it. I do like to know it as soon as possible.

No need to be so rude about it, though :/

Here's an idea: it'd be neat to have a flatbed upfit with fences all around its border. Just so putting cars in there doesn't end in said cars tumbling onto the highway so easily :d

I wonder if you can add the Fire Truck upfit from the Stambecco to the T-Series

    Update 0.31.3
    - Added 15-Speed Roadranger
    - Removed Submarine Mode

    I'll consider it
Probably not as that would be much more difficult to scale than the soft top

Hey, I'm loving all these updates, keep up the good work!
I found a minor bug with the splitter hold bind on the 13, 15 and 18 speed. When pressing the splitter, the aux shifter in the truck does not move and the splitter ui button does not update but it still activates (ui says your in low but you actually in high or vice versa). Also, you are unable to click on the aux shifter to activate the splitter. Clicking on the splitter ui works just fine (ui updates, shifter moves and splits gear). The rangebox works perfectly fine and the 10 and 12 speeds work perfectly.
Once again, thanks for updating the mod regularly, its coming together really well.

    This mod is fantastic :)

Maybe these have already been mentioned, but I'll state them as I think they would be nice improvements:
    - Looks like the 2nd front axle steers as much as the default front axle. It should steer a bit less since the wheelbase to the rear axle(s) is shorter.
    - It would be nice to have single-wheel steering liftable tag axles.
    - Single-wheel axles should have a track width parameter in the Tuning tab, to fit super singles without clipping and to allow for wider tracks in offroad/race configs.
    - I love the Carnie. It would be a superb yard tractor if there was a version with the rear steering behind the 5th wheel.
    - I think the offroad tyres could use some more traction, but IDK if game updates made mud more slippery.
    - Offroad configs should default to much lower tyre pressure to improve traction.

If you decide to implement these suggestions, but need inspiration, the Wentward Pack should have code for the proportional steering of axles, since the DT45L and DT65L use countersteering tag axles.

The trailers would benefit from super singles, steering lead or tag axles and liftable lead and tag axles, especially when trying to configure an European setup. But that would be a different mod so I'm going OT.

Thank you for your contributions to BeamNG!

    I'll look into it.

    1. The second axle steering angle is adjustable in the tuning menu. IIRC it defaults to 80% of the front steering angle
    2. That is a long-requested feature. I've tried making them but was unable to make it work well enough
    3. The track width I can look into though there isn't much room for adjustment without causing Jbeam instabilities
    4. The Carnie is mostly intended as a joke config after a forum user's suggestion. On the more practical side, there might be something in the works that would scratch that itch.;)
    5. The grip values are directly copied from the mod Bella's Cabover parts as that is where the models are from. to add more grip i'd have to make my own versions of all the tires which would be a clusterf*ck of parts selection
    6. I can look into that.

It's been suggested before, but there should be shorter tridem frames. This looks so out of place.
    --- Post updated ---
Forgot to mention: the twinsteer axle should have a "welded" variant so the front axles are always powered.

    Update 0.32: Shunt Truck!
    - Added the TC60 Front frame and cab.
    screenshot_2024-02-24_01-01-17.png

Modeled after Terminal Tractors This is an offset cab design and a slight setback axle. This allows for both much-improved visibility and slightly tighter turning than a standard cab-over. Also features openable left and rear doors.
    - Added a Hydraulically liftable fifth wheel
    - Added 2 new configs "TC62 Yard-Mule" and "TC64 Deck-Mule"

    Known issues
    - The TC60 cab Jbeam can cause some odd crash deformation and for the gauge needles to rattle over bumps

The tridem is about as close as I can put it while still being compatible with all the front frames so it's not worth my time. Also on the aero cab conventional frames, most of that gap is part of the front frame which I can't add the suspension onto easily

I'm not sure what you mean by welded twin-steer axle. There is no interaxle differential between the driven steer axles so it always acts as if it's "welded". The transfer case also lacks a differential and simply decouples from the front shaft to the steers.
