Sorry, I don't think I'll get around to it. Kids and work means I have very limited opportunity to update things. Maybe one day... If someone else has a fix, feel free to share it.
Do you remember from which map you copied your trees? Then it could be possibly a quick fix. I would do it. Nevermind here is the fixed version with working trees. I shrinked it too.

The backdrop is way too unoptimized. Removing it gains me 15fps in normal gameplay and over 60fps when it takes up a majority of the screen. There is no reason whatsoever to make it this detailed and it just causes an obscene amount of overdraw.
Also this messes up West Coast materials when loaded first. Please use modern link files or the assets directories.
Apologies, you're right, it could be a lot less detailed. It never caused me any issues when I made the map, but that was a good while ago, and my pc was pretty beefy, so I didn't see some of the issues with frame rate. Similar issue with the number of trees in some places. I'd love to fix it all one day, but my two year old takes up all my map making time. Give me another 10-15 years and I'll get there, I'm sure... --- Post updated --- Ah man, world editor. What a pest. --- Post updated --- While there is visibility on this thread, I've long said if anyone wants to take up the baton with this map, I'm happy to hand over ownership to another, or for someone to release a 'Somerset - Optimised', etc. Consider it open source or whatever. Anything goes.
