Beta - Somerset, UK

A UK map based in Somerset. I have tried to strike a good balance between realism and fun.

It is about 5km/5km, with a mix of asphalt and dirt roads. The dirt roads are not massively realistic for the UK, but they are fun so... The asphalt are set up for driving on the left (the AI is a bit nuts at junctions though, so be careful!).

I've also included 4 time trials.

There may be some errors (floating trees, etc.) in there. Feel free to let me know if there are and I will do my best to fix them.

I should also acknowledge DoullPepper, who's roads from Altitude I modified to get these ones to work.

I also used HighDef's Loaded Template Map mod and online tutorials to originally learn most of the techniques.

I have a few tutorials (or at least videos) of my own that I have added to hopefully help others in the future.

This map has so much potential, It would be cool to see the traffic fixed because it seems like it doesn't work (I've cleared the cache) and maybe we could see the roads changed to be less sharp so turns are easier. Otherwise, this map is awesome!

  The traffic should work. It is BeamNG traffic, so it is still a bit wild... but I've just checked and it is working for my version. (it only spawns on asphalt, not dirt roads). I just checked, and it is working on the latest update for me. If you're still having issues, feel free to get in touch.
  
  As for the turns, they are determined by the real world map I used (for the most part), so I was a little restricted. In truth, the roads should all be much thinner, as this is more like the UK countryside roads, but I wanted them to work with the traffic. Wonderful map. The lack of any villages or guardrails let me down, same with the road signs, although not as much. Too many curves for me, but i cant really be mad about that. Great map to mess around with traffic!

  Glad you enjoyed it. I have been looking into making urban areas, but it is a much larger undertaking. As for the curves, you'll have to blame Somerset County Council... :D

Amazing map and good grip on the roads but the road material is bugged for me. Please fix this ASAP, its one of my favourite maps

This is a very nice map, except for the time trials. I would oftenly miss a turn when trying to complete one because there isn't any barriers to block the wrong turns.

  Yeah, it needs prefabs, but I've had trouble with these recently. I'll have a look into it at some point.

just a heads up all the textures on trees and roads have gone funky since 0.26 update..so yea missing a lot of textures
