It's great to see the tech demo getting an update so people unsure about the game can get a more representative example of current game progress. However, it's a bit unfortunate that the tire model got another major overhaul only a couple weeks after the 2nd demo was released. The game with 0.3.7.7 already feels completely different from (and much improved over) the current tech demo now because of that. I'd also say that not having access to any vehicle customization takes away a lot of the fun you could have in the old demo and doesn't represent the game as well. It was enjoyable to be able to take the bumpers off the D15 so you wouldn't bottom out doing loops in the pipe, or to strip it down so it was lightweight and faster, or to just take off pieces and look at just how complex a BeamNG vehicle is. I would also agree that, at least comparing their base economy models, the D15 is capable of doing so much more than the stock Covet on grid map. Edit: And the couple of missing textures issue occurred for me as well. I could also post my game settings file if that would be helpful.
i bought it after palying ten minutes total on the techdemo.....and copious amounts of watching WhyBeAre play it........ i play the previous iteration of this game if could say..... and its free......its called rigs of rods
any chance of having a newer tech demo since this one is quite outdated as it doesn't include the latest performance improvements. just so I can use the tech demo when I go to look for a new laptop.
Based on the current tech demo I'm hesitant to buy the early access game as it seems it does not support 2 out of my 3 controllers (they are enumerated as devices "unknown0" and "unknown1" in the torque3d.log). I created mapping files following the instructions in the German Wiki (the English version is useless as there is no Controller menu in the tech demo) but it didn't help. It looks like only devices of type "joystick" or "gamepad" (DirectInput device types 20 and 21) are currently supported... I wonder if the latest alpha has improved in this regard?
Hello I have just finished downloading the new tech demo version While I my son was very excited to play it as soon as we tried to load a map the game crashed I should note the computer only has beam ng Drive installed and nothing more that basic operating systems I have tried running as admin, and that didn't work I am using a 64 bit system and it refuses t load a map without crashing, can someone help?
Processor: Intel Core i3-2310M CPU @ 2.10GHz RAM 4.00 GB System Type 32-bit Operating System My son told me it was 64 bit but I dont see why a lower bit would affect this

You haven't specified the actual Operating System model/version (WIndows 7/8/8.1/10/etc) and your video card model.
Uh nope, DirectX isn't the video card model, but a technology that most/all video card supports. The crash happens as soon the level load (you don't even get to see the car and etc)? And it just simply crashes or some particular error appears? There was a bug about the memory management in WIndows7 that was fixed recently, and this maaay be your same case. The techdemo will get an update sometime soon, so that fix will be included incase.
-Intel HD Graphics XXXX / Intel HD XXXX (For example, Intel HD Graphics 2500) -Nvidia GeForce XXX (For example: GT 530M) -AMD Radeon XXXX (For example: Radeon HD 4650M) Try and look up your laptop model on the internet. You might find which type of video card you have quite easily.
