Re: Update: Chassis/Frame and Suspension. That was exactly what I was thinking of One thing I need to ask, though, is would it be possible to make those holes in the bodywork more curved? It kinda bugs me how low-poly they look compared to the rest of the car Why? Because OCD Anyway, other than that, it looks great. Can't wait to see the next update Even though I've probably said that a million times on this forum >.< FastestClassic
The attention to detail and the quality you guys put into this stuff makes me want to learn how to create 3D models and implement them into the game. Hot ride though. Love the chassis work. I guess next up after the suspension is the engine.
Re: Update: Chassis/Frame and Suspension. No need to worry about how low poly it is in those pics, it was just like that at the time to speed up the real-time rendering I was doing, the final released car will look a lot better in terms of detail and smoothness. And thanks again for all the support guys.
Re: Update: Chassis/Frame and Suspension. I hate to ask you but i want to drive this thing asap! how much longer? Or have you not even touched any of the beam/node stuff yet.
Re: Update: Chassis/Frame and Suspension. Still a way to go yet, I'll get the model finished first with suspension, engine and drive train, and the interior; then I'll be onto beams and nodes. Thing is, I don't exactly know how to work with them yet, so over the next week I'll be researching how to get the car in-game with the correct n/b structure. 2-3 weeks would be my best estimation, depends how quickly the last on the model takes to finish.
Re: Update: Chassis/Frame and Suspension. Alright man! Really appreciate the hard work your doing to get this car into the game gl! Can't wait to drive this thing around the islands.
Update: Suspension So I have most of the suspension modeled, only have a few things left in regards to that part of the car. But, or course, Blender being as is it usually is, decided to have a fit and crash and I can't seem to track down any auto-saves or recovery files, so I have to remodel the shocks and springs (imported from here) Edit: Never mind, got it back! Thank**** for that!
Yea, I thought they came out a bit thin. I'll definitely give them a bit more meat before I release the car.
you should ad some vintage parts to it like headlights, tail lights and rearviews with current model would look steller.
Re: Hot Rod - '33 Ford Coupe Nice Car! I LOVE IT!!! And also, can you make the car in your profile picture?
It's just that I'm a bit worried that the OP's stuck on the project, or worse, abandoned the project. (I doubt he would, though) Besides, status updates are nice Also, I wonder if dkutch would want to help with the jbeams on this. He's really good at .jbeam work, and this is one of the best-looking cars on the forums right now
