Honestly i don't know what the global wheel system is as I'm still new at this. EDIT: Now I am getting a strange frame issue. When i load the sandstorm in the industrial site i get 17 fps. When i load the gravil D15 offroad in the same place i get 30 fps. Its wierd the buggy's got less nodes, less beams, less details and yet less fps. Can someone explain this?
That lag is justwierd. I am not a modder but theres also kinda simirial problem in the desert highway when you get tire smokes the game lags.
The jbeam is made from scratch. Here's the picture proof if you don't believe me. Believe it or not but i started with making jbeam first then modeled the vehicle which may be unusual in my opinion.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for proof, I was asking to know if there's an error on your part or something else. I have no experience using blender to make jbeam, I make them manually with Notepad++ and have yet to have a problem by using this method
Idk what i did wrong....yet, it might have been the mesh or something because the jbeam is fine. I might have to look into that a little closer. I will keep this updated. EDIT: I found the problem, it is the mesh. Apparently i had too much polygons on some parts. Ill fix that and hopefully the frames will increase dramatically. --- Post updated --- UPDATE Jan 26th: -I have started on the lights since nearly everyone wants them. -Mesh overhaul! Major fps increase. -Big interior progress. (look main post for pictures) -Added reflection so theres no matte look though it looks too shiny at low+ lighting setting. When i eventually take care of the lights and final touches (look at todo list) I might release a beta, what do you guys say?
MINI UPDATE Jan 28th I tried making all the parts separate then i found a little issue, the wheel mesh disappeared (rear left). I dont know what I did wrong, everything on here looks right but it doesn't want to show it in game for some reason. If anyone asks yes the name in blender is the same, I re-exported a few times, same issue. Is this a bug or something? If this issue continues then I may have to skip the part configure part. EDIT: Also how do I delete a poll? It doesnt seem to let me delete nor make a new poll. EDIT2: I am blind!!! I forgot the dummy mesh. Anyway gotta finish up some textures and maybe an additional parts then it'll be ready to go! If you have any suggestions to this vehicle (if anything easy) let me know. Stay tuned for more screenshots and a sneak peak of the new offroad track!
In some other thread you said that it weighed 1900 lb, I'm not too sure but that seems a bit heavy for a single seat buggy, even half that seems a bit heavy but I'm no expert. A wing doesn't seem like something you'd have on a vehicle like this, It probably wouldn't be going at high enough speeds to make much use of it and if it flips over the wing would be ruined.
Thats the RC buggy I was talking about on that thread, no RC car weighs that much in real life. It is the weight of this vehicle too and its fine in my opinion. I agree, a wing is not gonna work too well. --- Post updated --- mini update If you ask if this mod is dead, no its not dead. The progress is only slowed down by the hype of RG R/C pack and my health right now. The recent update I think made the driving characteristics of the buggy really different, like spinning out and a lot of over-steer different. I was planning on releasing an alpha but now im not happy with the driving characteristics for now, I never driven a buggy in my life so I don't know if spinning out, over-steer or wheel spin is realistic or not. For now i'm gonna tweak the driving a bit till I'm happy then I'll release it since I don't know what else to add on it. Thank you guys for supporting this mod. --- Post updated --- UPDATE Who's ready for alpha? Its now being approved!
