Please try this if you can: - Try rising the ride height via Vehicle Customization -> Tuning. Max-D defaults to the lowest suspension settings for both axles, hence ground clearance is lower than usual, I wonder if this might be the cause? - See if the issue persists even after switching to the alternative Ukraine wheels. Thanks for the reports.
i'll see if the other tires and raised suspension cause the same issue. video should be up in a few minutes here:
got a similar issue with raised ride height and and Ukraine tires. the tire imploded on itself, but no wheel lockup occurred. i'll see if it happens on other trucks, or if its only max d
That moment I started making jumps and stuff on grid map pure and then verify cache and lose it all.... I hate my life some times...
Well the other trucks are basically the same as Max-D, so this is bound to happen again. I can't reproduce the issue though, even though severe spiking like that is quite certainly caused by excessive beamSpring somewhere.
max d has it the most. i've only gotten it to happen once on elegy. --- Post updated --- the video should viewable now. a few different things happen, so it's worth watching the whole thing.
If it didn't happen with the beta version I posted earlied in this thread then it's probably due to the stiffer suspensions or the tighter wheel hubs. Nothing else in the update could be at the roots of this problem. I'll keep you updated, it's likely very easy to solve, but it could also bring back some now resolved side-issues. --- Post updated --- Ah well, you're breaking the FL wheel axle every time! That's why. Also, In the last occurrence, the rim is broken on impact.
ukraine tires lock up and die confirmed. i'll try loading up the older version and see what happens. --- Post updated --- it's not a game breaking issue, and as seen in the video, it doesn't happen too often unless you're me. so i wouldn't worry about it too bad.
Likely, the same will happen. Maybe it will be easier for the wheel hitting the concrete to snap off (that could be adjusted, so at least you get a visual hint of the damage sustained), but what I saw in that video is kinda normal, the wheel axle breaks on most impacts. This means it's subject to tremendous blunt force.
yea i thought so. ive been trying on the old version for awhile. the closest i got was the suspension not returning to normal, thus locking the wheel. the tires never imploded.
Damping was increased significantly, but beams around the axle have also been stiffened to prevent rattles and vibration. Will try fine-tuning it further, this stiffer setup clearly doesn't cut it. Will also try toning down the hub strength and see if that helps. Wheels should then snap off and break their corresponding wheel axle in a case like this, instead of sticking to the hub and glitch out. Meanwhile... Thanks a lot for testing! --- Post updated --- Ok, softer damping yields this result... Now that's better. Kinda.
no problem. probably unrelated: is there a better world finals map to download? because the only one i found here has thick mud as the ground and unequal turns.
Finally remade my backflip ramp :'( took a while, but it works.... most of the time. You need to be going slow like very slow, like 30mph slow, or you just smash your front into the top part. I'll make a better one at some point. (El Toro Loco only truck tested at this time.) Also, these crush cars are the best thing in this game and they don't even drive XD (At least if you use the monster truck mostly like I do.)
Which one? Can you please specify? Anyway, softer suspension settings seem to be enough to fix the wheels glitching on impact. Well, I could do that jump like 50 times without a single occurrence, so I believe it's fixed... Let me know if I should upload the whole thing again, of if you'd rather replace just the modified parts in the archive by yourselves. I also updated a couple of info files for configurations while I was at it.
The tire "deflation" was a problem that the trucks had in RoR because of the n/b. Assuming it is the same n/b, it is probably the same issue.
