I am loving this new build. 5 large cars or even better, the pickup class that's derby class 2 is pretty damn fun. The heats last 3-15 minutes which seems realistic to me. I would like to see a limited weld/mod (Front-oriented) build on the pickup/suv class with Front leaf springs and an off-road front bumper, but stock or medium duty rear leaf springs, a chrome skin or no rear bumper, and no tailgate. This should make the class very front oriented and you'll want to attack the soft rears of these pickup trucks. I am guessing it isn't very easy to load a randomly damaged vehicle into the scenario? It would be a lot of fun to play your heat where they stop at the top 2or3 cars and they go to the feature with what they have against the winners of the other heat. Probably too hard to save that damage somehow and reload it...
I'm a derby driver, you can add my name for some realism --- Post updated --- What do you think about making skins for all the cars in the mod so we can have all those excellent skins in every derby?
when i try to play it says i need online players. I go into scenarios and try to play demoliton derby and it comes up with this menu saying to select my vehicle. It also says i need at least two local players (other people). Can you help? Do i just go into freeroam and choose the map and use the f11 way or is there another way of doing it like explained in the mod description? thanks.
No, you picked up the wrong scenario in the menu. There is these Derby-scenarios in the stock game for 2-4 player local multiplayer, but you need to find The Fair Grounds-scenario from the list.
I gotta share something with you. You may have noticed, that if you use Orbit-camera, it isn't fast enough to turn to backward-view, when you start to reverse from default camera position. This is particulary issue over here in this mod, because the arenas are so small, that when you start to reverse from the other end, you are halfway on the arena, until it's completely turned backwards and this makes the aiming a bit frustrating. And if you turn the camera manually, it won't help, since then it rolls over the desired view angle. However, I found a way to adjust the rotation speed of the Orbit-camera with this simple edit: Firstly, you need to locate the folder, where the game is installed (default path is C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\common). Then go for this path: BeamNG.drive\lua\ge\extensions\core\cameraModes Then, open up the Orbit-file with Notepad, Wordpad, etc, etc (don't forget to make a backup of it, in case if you mess up something!). Search for this specific line: self.relaxation The default value of this is 3, but I suggest, that you put it to 1.5 or 2. Putting it to 1 makes the camera a bit too shakey. You can also remove the rest of the text of that setting, so that it will show: self.relaxation = 1.5 Then save the file and start the game (or restart the game, if it was running already). The roll to backward-view is now 2x faster than previosly, so it really helps with the gameplay. Previosly I was always fighting with it constantly.
Yea but the Chase-camera rolls like a boat with the car and that's even more annoying + the angle is weird. Besides, if someone wanna use Orbit, this guide is helpful for them.
Can I put my derby cars in your mod?? https://www.beamng.com/resources/de...g-updates-custom-derby-parts-body-skins.1678/
Let's see what the Bid has to say. Not a bad idea, but propably the best would be to have them in a separate class, so that they wouldn't conflict with the stock game cars (because the mod is designed to work with the stock game, all the other cars are optional extra, that you need to download separately). But in the end, it would be actually pretty neat to have these different mod packs included in the mod as separate car classes.
Once I get done with the AI changes for this next update I should be able to add your mod. I am also working on adding more of F150's mod's.

Allright, this works nicely now and the main game's updates have helped a lot in the stickyness of the cars. Really enjoyable. And good thing you found workaround to help with that fuel leak issue. Captured some footage with new gear, now you know, that it also works really well on full arena:
