This mod (and the moonhawk it's suspension is based on) have this tendency because the suspension has a lot of roll steer. Once it rolls a bit, the rear axle steers outward causing it to roll even more. It could actually twist either way very easily. Once I added the driveshaft torque I had to redo the geometry on the moonhawk because it launched so badly would land on its roof half the time :p The more realistic forces we add there, the more spot on the suspension geometry has to be.

The reactions will not change mods behavior unless they are using official content for the transaxle/driveshaft/differential (depends on the vehicle). So for example, a modded engine will see the new driveshaft torque reactions, but a modded differential won't. Standalone mods will be unchanged.

Anyone notice how the camera is (intentionally? :p) pointed lower in the 2nd Sunburst video?

Hint: observe the behavior of the clutch pedal when moving off from a stop and when gears are shifted.

New race track with racier feeling cars incoming...

It may be a one way road with a large shoulder, showing off the signs, or due to the steep hill the signs need to be put on the left side.

    It's a two-way road.

It's awesome to see those signs, even though they are italian the spanish counterparts look almost exactly the same.

A quick guide just in case:

First one means dangerous curve ahead, and next one, 80 km/h max. speed. (50 mph) (and yes, they should be in the right side of the road, not the left)

    OK....from back to front.

2 ones I can't see due to the STOP sign, the STOP sign, crosswalk (informative), crosswalk (caution), overtaking forbidden zone end, one way drive, priority of pass in the opposite direction (happens when a section of road is shared by both directions, like in a narrow tunnel), two way intersection with priority of pass (caution), same but with only one road merging from the right, same but from the left, roundabout, pedestrians not allowed, pedestrians way only, risk of falling rocks, stone chipping caution, and dangerous curve again for both left and right.

The sign you see there is correct: marks the end of a pedestrian passageway.

I was thinking about something. If there will be a straight cut transmission and torque reaction improvements, then transmission will probably create a different sideforces too, depending on gearing type.

So... looks like we're getting a new campaign, or possibly some early hint of career mode. Lots to take a look at here - the presence of a "stunt guy" is especially interesting - could Belasco be a shade closer to Hollywood than previously anticipated?

    upload_2017-11-14_17-51-56.png

I like #2 there. Resemblance anybody? That'd make any stunt involving the police Moonhawk (or the '70s police sedan hinted at so long ago) twice as entertaining!

Building upon @Instances theory of official ranger vehicles - I'm very excited as well! It's possible we may eventually see the Roamer or D-series eventually decked out in U.S. National Park service livery.

Note that the rangers' uniforms appear to mirror those of the U.S. National Park Service, so we should expect vehicle skins to match the vehicles of the same agency:

I like Ranger #2 here. Out of the four, I think that he seems like the best choice. Ranger #1 looks a little odd with his two goatees, Ranger #3 is too similar to the police officer, and Ranger #4 looks like he's playing the part of an incompetent ranger in a bad eighties slasher movie.

    upload_2017-11-14_17-51-36.png

Besides, he'd break up the homogeneity of the rest of the cast. Maybe it's just the bad lighting in the picture, but I think he's the only African-American on the page - kind of odd for a setting in a major southwestern U.S. city.

Well, it's a pretty generic uniform, could be any of the agencies currently in-game or the (presumably) planned Belasco PD.

Note that she's wearing blue jeans on the left. this is somewhat bizzare, but apparently the real-life Santa Ana Police Department (In California, naturally) appears to allow officers to wear blue jeans to work.

It just doesn't look right to me though - especially when coupled with what appears to be a maroon shirt under the vest.

Yeah, she looks more like a normal police officer on the right, but like you said, this is California...

Then again, these are just concepts, and the devs are just trying a whole lot of stuff to see what does and doesn't work.

Honestly, I'm more curious about the caretaker than anyone else. What car is she going to drive, and why even bother including a character so detached from the automotive world? I think that she may drive a Pigeon Street Cleaning, but other than that, she's probably the most fascinating character in terms of plot potential, in my opinion.

It's definitely kind of interesting. My mind went straight to a racetrack groundskeeper, or a building superintendent that tells the player character if somebody is looking for them.

@Shotgun Chuck wouldn't want to see the latest dev screenshot because possible PC reasons.
